Hula's Yard Sale, Hula's 3 Mickeys= Freezing

is the line moving at all? Come on ppl, if you got in please move along so others can visit:rolleyes:

It's moving a bit now. I went from behind 35 to behind 31 in maybe a minute and a half. Move along, people, move along! Sheesh.

Hasn't moved for me for at least ten or fifteen minutes.

Have I been dc? Anyone else stuck?

Someone on another site said that Hula got disconnected, but no clue if that's true or not. As for me, I just moved from 27 to 23 in the last couple minutes. Had been stuck at 27 for at least 10 or 15 minutes. *sigh*

I'm still behind 12 people in the queue. I have a feeling I may not even get in the event. *sigh*

I have a feeling that I should be playing fireworks.

Ugh. I love VMK, and hate this negative feeling that is a result of the event tonight. I am soooooo hoping that the pass feature will alleviate some of this.

Of course, it is bound to create new problems I am sure.

Oh well, I am still thankful we had a Walt to start all of this madness that we love.

Happy New Year everyone! party:

That's the spirit! :wizard: I love Walt. He truly is an American hero and genius, and I wish I had had the chance to meet him, or at least be on this Earth while he was. Btw, one of the new Disney Treasures DVD sets focuses on Walt (called "Your Host, Walt Disney"). Came out the 19th, and if you can still find it, I highly recommend it.

As for the event: behind 6 players. I'm getting closer! popcorn::

Aww, how unlucky can I get :(? I came on 2 minutes too late to jump in the line! This makes it an official 6 months of never being in a host room :(

Cool! I have always eyed those sets at Costco. Especially the Disneyland one. Are any of the others especially special?

I will for sure check "Your Host, Walt Disney" out. Thanks! :thumbsup2

Considering I think I spent about 2 hours in line, I don't think you're unlucky as far as this goes. :lmao:

Anyhow all, Hula has the room set up so you automatically get a green candy cane, and then you can step on a space mountain ride start to exit the room. No more magic word guessing and all that, as it is getting late. Line should move faster now, however long the room stays open.

Thanks again Hula for opening another room and giving out the candy canes.

Hmmm... After 3 hours... made it into a blocked off room that I couldn't guess any magic words in.

I have *new* magic words.

Icky host event night.

*looks around internet for Walt Disney DVD set that can be bought with green candy canes*

LOL, night :)

Same thing happened to me, Anya, but considering I thought I wouldn't even get in the room, I'm happy. :goodvibes I was typing while you posted, but I would also recommend Walt Disney Treasures - On the Front Lines (1941-1945), which was released in 2004. Has a lot of interesting material, including a feature length animated film, focusing on WWII and how the studios were sort of taken over by the military to help the cause. Donald is in a lot of those shorts, and it's really a great piece of history. A lot of the shorts on there were classified until that DVD set was released; only the animators and folks in the military saw them.

I personally have that, the new Walt one, both Donald Duck sets, and the second volumes of Mickey Mouse cartoons (the black & white volume 2 and the color volume 2). I think most of them you can still find at least online, but the original sets are nowhere to be found except for extremely high prices on ebay and elsewhere. Sadly I've never run across the Disneyland one, but maybe someday.

Sorry to those stuck in line during the event. It probably was a slow moving line. Hula, thanks!

SorcererDonald - did you get a green candy cane?

Arg. You would have to remind me that those just came out. Five different sets just came out this year.
Personally, I recommend all the Treasures sets. I have all of them to date except for the newest ones, which I may have to wait on. :(
In regards to the On the Front Lines set, definitely get it if you can find it.

As for the Disneyland set, try watching at Amazon.com or Half.com. Unfortunately, most that I see don't even have the tin included with the new unless it's $50. :(

If you plan on buying the newest ones, try deepdiscountdvd.com. The have completely free shipping which helps to lower the overall price. :)

Well, I really wanted to try and get into the yard sale today. We were having company though, so I ended up cleaning right through 4:30 and then we went out for dinner with friends. I was wondering what I missed, but it looks like I missed a big headache. I know I would have never made it in with my dc problem. Earlier for Lily's event, vmk crashed twice in a row on me after waiting through the entire line each time, and getting into the room. So frusterating.

Hey for all of you vmkers with the great eyes,...in Bug's capture, what is the little orange circle coming out of the left side of the goal post?

Dreams, yes I got a green candy cane. Hula had it set up so once you entered the room you got a message saying you had received one (like they did with the gingerbread benches). I like the green candy canes, so I was happy with what I got. :wizard: And besides, beggars can't be choosy with the massive "issues" that seem to keep happening around the Yard Sale time. ;)

Do you mean, the right side of the left post on the goal on the right side of the screen? :)

I believe that is the base of a gold room divider. There are several around where she is sitting.
