Bought a resale 2/05, booked my vacation right after all was done.
Well, I had written down how many points I would have and when (Jan 06)when my bank got restocked (so to say).
This week I booked for May 2006-asked about borrowing points, etc. and the gal said I had them in my 'bank', etc and there was no need to borrow? What am I thinking wrong here? Have my ressie for my vacation in October, so know that is AOKand a confirmation number for my May 2006 trip.
What's the scoop?

Don't be offended, but I think we need more specific information to help you out... What resort, what use year, how many points and what did you reserve?

The way I read what you wrote, there's nothing to worry about.

You will be getting 2006 points.
You are making a 2006 reservation with those points.
MS considers them "current" points for that reservation.

No need to borrow--otherwise you would be borrowing from the 2007 allocation.

Now---did you use up all your 2005 points with that first reservation? If not, you need to bank them for the next year, and then they can be used for the 2006 reservation. If that is what you meant by borrowing instead, you might need to call MS back and have them bank the points (according to banking deadlines), then use up those banked points toward the ressie first. Or, maybe they are already banked?--and that is what she meant.

Use of points is based on the date of stay, not date of reservation. If your date of stay is within your 2006 use year, you do not need to borrow to reserve with those 2006 points now. Points are not "deposited" when your use year starts, they are already in your account now for use based on the date of stay.
