Hughes Net

We used to have it at our old house because it was the only service available to us. The bad: Well it costs an arm and a leg, every single time you call tech support you get Asia, and if you do a lot of downloading or uploading you are going to be subject to FAP (Fair Act Policy) rules and your speed is going to slow to the crawl of dial up plus you are still going to be paying for high speed at the point. The good: Well it is available anywhere and if you have no other choice to get it...It is eh, okay.

I totally agree with PP.
It is the only thing available to me besides dial up. So I keep it. I have had it about 4 years or so... The speeds are "ok". Certainly NOT the fast speeds they advertise on TV.
I was talked into upgrading my equipment a year ago. I was told that was why my speeds had decreased and why I was 'kicked off' all the time.
Not true. I bought the new equip and still get slow speeds and still have no service, frequently on the weekends.
If you have ANY other option, I would take it.
I pray I will have DSL at some point..... I am in the country with 5 other houses. I doubt it will ever happen for me :(
