Anyone have these? I saw them on The View last week. They're sold through HSN, and on their website, some of the different styles didn't get such great reviews...mostly, that the quality has gone down since they first came out. Was wondering what people here thought.

I need to replace my hangers, as it seems I've acquired too many different types over the years, and I like more uniformity.

I love my huggable hangers. They are expensive though so that is the downside. My grandma buys from HSN all the time and these were some of her great buys. She did say that Wal-Mart has their own brand too, but I've not looked for them there to see how they compare price-wise.

I bought them last year and the quality has gone down since my friend got them a few years ago.

2 weeks after I got them the pants hanger broke it was holding only 3 pairs.

My mom swears by these. I have yet to purchase them, though,

I bought them off of HSN a few years back. I like them. The clothes don't slide off of them like a plastic hanger - which can be a good and a bad thing. Good because the clothes stay put, bad because when you're in a rush, you have to make a deliberate effort to take the piece of clothing off the hanger. The velvet really hugs the clothes to the hanger.

I did buy the Huggable Hangers and then saw these on QVC:

~~~I have these in every single clothes closet in my house. I was so tired of seeing those "nipples" on the shoulders of the sweaters etc.
Love the huggable hangers. I found generic huggable hangers at Wal-mart about a year ago went back for more they no longer carry them. I then found another generic type at Bed Bath and Beyond....10 hangers for 9.99, they are a nice quality. No more shoulder nipples.:rotfl:
They should make a larger huggable hanger for men's cloths...some larger men's shirts just don't hang right. Terri
I bought mine on HSN about a year ago and I love them. They really do save space in your closet. As far as the quality I haven't had any problems but I just put one pair of pants on each hanger.
Huggable hangers are the best! After buying them for my closet,I bought them for DD's closet. DH and I are converting a bedroom into a closet so I'm getting ready to order about 200. I've never used the 4 bar pants hanger but I love the single bar hanger. These really do give you at least 2x the closet space.
Target sells a similar brand 3/$2.99.
I haven't tried them yet, but I'm thinking about it!
I have to go check those out. Never heard of them before, but I try to stay away from those home shopping networks, because I can't control myself! :lmao: Have to see if I can find the generic brand! My clothes constantly slip off the hanger, and it drives me nuts!
I saw these (bottom right) at Christmas Tree Shops...they only had black, and they were sort of velvety. Is that what Huggable Hangers are like?
Whatever I end up getting, I want to get all the same, so I want to get something really good. Will take a look at Target and WalMart too.
Yes, thats what Huggable Hangers are like. They're covered in a velvet material that makes the clothes stick to the hanger. I can't tell the quality from the picture, but the actual metal hanger part in the original Huggable Hangers is a pretty sturdy metal.
Love, love, love them! They're all I have in my closets now. They make everything look so neat. The sad part is that I have spent hundreds of dollars on them over the years. I did hear that the quality has gone down on the ones at HSN (from reviews on the HSN website). Which really peeves me because the woman who invented them/sells them must be a gazillionaire and that is SO tacky to hook people on them and then lower the quality. They certainly are NO bargain. One problem with the HSN ones is they never seem to have been able to perfect the skirt hooks you can attach to them. They've tried at least three versions and none of them are very good. One version was completely useless and when I wrote to complain I didn't even get a response. I'm glad other people are starting to carry the same type of hangers. Lately I've been buying them at Bed Bath & Beyond. But I'm not buying any more! I mean it!
"My name is Pugsley and I'm a hanger addict"? ;)
I see a trip to Bed Bath and Beyond in my future ::yes:: with a slew of 20% off coupons. :thumbsup2 I'm feeling just a bit too excited about this. :banana:
I looked at Target's website, and theirs appear to only be available online, so that includes shipping (altho returnable to the store), but I'd rather just see them first anyway.
Don't say I didn't warn you MaryAnn -- once you start you can't stop!!! You might as well just go ahead and buy enough for every article of clothing you own! (The problem is that the colors change now and then and sometimes when you go back you can't get the same color. And they all MUST be the same color. LOL.)
I know :rotfl:. In our closet all of the hangers are burgundy in DD's closet,they're all fuschia.Must match colors,must match colors.....
But of course!!! :lmao:
When my mom moved into Assisted Living I was horrified ;) by the different types, sizes AND colors of her plastic hangers from her house! (You know what I especially HATE? When the hook parts aren't all the same length! :scared1: ) I told her that as soon as she was settled in, I'd work on that (much to her :confused: and :confused3 ). Time has gone by tho, busy with other things, and I haven't dealt with it. Lately tho, I've had to do more hanging up of her clothes, and it just makes me :sad2: every time I open those closet doors. Now I have TWO MORE closets to get hangers for! :cheer2:
I had done that at one point, but then hangers would find their way from one closet to another, and then they'd be all mixed up!
Ran out today and got a couple of sets to start...sage green. :) So far, I love them! Everything looks so neat (on one side of the closet). Heading back to BB&B tomorrow to buy them out! ;)
Huggable Hangers are great! They come in a variety of colors. They occasionally have special deals on HSN, for example, when you don't have to pay shipping. I have heard these are sturdier than the generic ones and that plus size people say they work well for their clothing. I like the idea of the "cascading hooks" too for saving even more space.
