I'm sick to my stomach that I bought too early, but hopefully someone else can benefit. For the end of November, Delta just dropped prices. We paid $303 a few weeks ago and they are down to $174 now. OUCH!!

I had a drop like that on United once...I paid the $100 per ticket penalty, and got the other $74 in a credit voucher(times 4 it really added up)

call and see if you can get a credit, i know that JetBlue gives you a credit if the prices drop at all as long as you call.

You can get a credit with Delta - call and ask them to do that. It'll cost you $50 per ticket, but it will still give you some credit to be used on another trip within 12 months.

Ok.....I have a question for you guys. I've gotten credits issued to me before for prices dropping. The price I saw for this November was on Orbitz. I called Delta. They said I have to call Orbitz. Anyone out there done this? I've always dealt directly with the airlines in the past to receive credits. :confused3

Oh dear, you may be in trouble. Delta is right you do have to deal with Orbitz. I would call them and see what they can do for you. The problem is Delta didn't get paid by you they got paid by Orbitz. It's a little confusing, but that's the way it works. Most online TAs won't deal with getting you the credit because they have no system really set up to track the credit etc.

(Just an FYI for other shoppers, the "on line" TAs tend to be very difficult to work with in these instances. If you are buying on the net, always see if you can get the same fare are the airline directly to avoid the "middleman". )
