We booked a while ago for a flight between JFK-LGB at $199 + tax one way. Today the fare went down to $119 + tax. We just got a $320 credit. 
I really wish we had booked our return flight out of LGB instead of SAN. It would have been worth the drive back for the $320 credit. Hopefully SAN goes down too.
