Hubby & Prego do Disney in August! - Final Thoughts (5/25)

So excited to see an update :goodvibes and little Emma is absolutely adorable! I love that name for little girls princess:
Hope your DH started feeling better

Yay!! An update. :woohoo: That breakfast croissant looks delicious! I'm so glad that you got to go on Mission:SPACE. I was afraid that J would come back and say it was too much too... Aw, poor guy. I know what you mean about the carbonation. I haven't drank a whole pop since I was in 9th grade. Even a few sips usually makes me feel weird. I can't imagine going on the Orange team side after drinking all of those little cups of it!! :scared1: I hope he gets better soon! And I'm anxious to hear about your DIS meet. I've still never eaten at LeCellier, but it's on my list for "someday". It looks great!

That sandwich was delish!! A croissant with eggs, bacon, and cheese!! Too bad I can't eat like that all the time! ;)
He really did regret drinking that much soda and topping it off with the ride (didn't want to waste the soda or the FP. Tsk, tsk)

Congratulations on baby Emma! And I'm SOOOOO enjoying your trip report! popcorn::

Thank you so much! :cloud9: I'm promise to post again soon (maybe tomorrow?!)!

Thank you! She's awesome! I've always loved that name, too. When I found out it was a family name, I felt it was destiny! :cutie:

So here is the conclusion to our final day at Disney! :sad1:
Last we left, poor J felt awful from drinking a full cup of Beverly. And I felt horribly guilty for tricking him into drinking it. :guilty: So he went back to the room to rest and I wondered around by myself for a bit. Took a few pictures.

It's amazing how quite Canada is. I'm not sure if people aren't interested or if it's last on their journey and they're too exhausted. But it really is a pretty place!

IMG_1974.jpg

Today was a horribly hot day, but it was predicted to rain. I think I felt so hot because most days we had gone back to the hotel this time in the afternoon to relax either in the room or by the pool. Florida in August is not a totally comfortable time. Anyway, I had scheduled a Dis Meet with Joe (black562) and a couple of his Dis friends (and I am so bad, but I totally forgot everyone else’s name! Shame on me!).
IMG_1983.jpg

We had planned a little dessert tour of World Showcase. I knew I didn’t want to go overboard, but the one thing I was really interested in trying was a Kaki Gori from Japan (ie a snow cone).
IMG_1982.jpg

It was really good! Nice and refreshing on such a hot day. It was nice to chat with folks who loved Disney so much. I remember asking everyone how many times they had been to Disney World. Some said around 15 or 16 times, others around 20. Joe jokingly (but seriously) said he lost count after 50! :scared1: Wow!
We walked through Japan, Italy, and then hit up Germany. By that point I was pretty exhausted and wanted to go check on J. So I said goodbye to my new Dis friends and headed back to the Boardwalk.
"Oh hey, honey! I'll be up in just a bit!"
IMG_1986.jpg

I did a tiny bit of shopping at the resort then went back to the room and it was just in time! A HUGE storm blew through Disney just seconds later! What a perfect time for a little nap!
Once we woke up, J was feeling, better, but not 100%. So we got dressed and headed back to WS. We were both a little hungry so we headed to Mexico to try out Cantina de San Angel. I don't remember what we had, probably enchilada/burrito-type stuff...
IMG_1987.jpg

IMG_1989.jpg

These cookies were ok, but SO not worth the calories that are printed on the bag!
IMG_1988.jpg

It was pretty good, but being from Texas I LOVE my Tex-Mex!! And some of the family-owned restaurants have spoiled me. We decided to walk around Mexico and went on the Gran Fiesta Tour with the Three Caballeros. It was really cute! I loved that cartoon as a kid, plus J’s favorite character is Donald!
Norway was next, so we walked around that for a little bit before we went on Maelstrom.
IMG_1990.jpg

This was a pretty cool ride, kind of what I remember from a kid. I would really like to eat at Akershus next time with the Princesses, especially since Emma will be along! :cloud9:
We walked around China then decided to head back. J still wasn’t feeling like himself  , so it was time to call it a night. We got a little packing done since we had an early morning ahead of us. Our last full day in Disney was about over! I was so sad J ended it not feeling well, but hopefully tomorrow he’ll be back to himself before we head home!

Up Next! Our final morning spent at Magic Kingdom! Will J feel better? Will Amanda get to ride a little roller coaster?! And what do we eat before we head home?

Kaki gori! YUM! I always have to stop in Japan to get one during my trip. I love WS but I never really explore the countries much. After reading everyone's TRs, I need to spend some time doing that next trip!

Great update! I agree with you on Canada, I think it is so pretty. That Kaki Gori looked so good! I am definitely getting one of those in October. Can't wait to read about your Magic Kingdom morning!

You're going in October? When? Me too!

Aw, so sad that it's your last full day!! :sad2: And that really stinks that J wasn't feeling well. I absolutely can not imagine going to Disney World over 50 times! :scared1: That's really neat that they all love it so much though. And I'm totally with you on the Tex-Mex thing. I love it. And the locally owned restaurants are the best. I hope that J is feeling better by the morning! And I hope you get to ride a little coaster! :thumbsup2

No Way! We must have the same schedule because didn't you go the same week as me last year, September 19-26? We are going October 16-23, when are you going?

Yep, I went 9/20-9/29 last year! This time I'm going Oct 4 - Oct 9. I'll be missing you by a week!

Hey folks! I know it's been almost a month (a month? really?!) since my last post, but you wouldn't believe how much time a baby takes! Geez! So, again, I am soooo sorry it's taken this long for me to post! I promise this TR will be done soon!
Now, on to our last day! This week went by so fast, I couldn’t believe it! The last day of vacation is always so hard for me! I usually get really depressed, so sad to go back to the real world. :sad2:
We got up extra early that day since we had a ressie at Crystal Palace (yum!). I was really excited about this meal since the food was supposed to be good and also cause it was a Character Meal!
So we said goodbye to our "home"
IMG_1992.jpg

and made it down to the front desk by 7:15am to do some check out stuff (one down side about renting points is they won’t offer late check out, so we had to have everything out of our room since we wouldn’t come back until way after check out time). No biggie, then we made it on the bus by 7:30. I could not believe the line at Magic Kingdom!! Today was not an EMHM day, all of these people were in line for breakfast.
IMG_1994.jpg

As we got off the bus, the driver asked if we were going to dine with the Princesses. I said “Nope, we’re gonna go eat with Pooh!” He laughed.
We didn’t have to wait very long in the line to get into the park, just had to make sure we had a reservation number. Magic Kingdom really is gorgeous without the crowds! So peaceful! We took a few pics since we had time to spare before our 8:05am ressie.

IMG_2004.jpg

Once we checked in we waited outside for a few minutes. I overheard a couple on their honeymoon talking about the week ahead of them. Apparently it was their first full day, I was a little jealous. :guilty:
We were one of the first inside Crystal Palace and it was so pretty, just like I remember as a kid! The food was awesome!! J LOVES breakfast food and went back several times!
IMG_2010.jpg

IMG_2011.jpg

I fell in LOVE with the Mickey waffles!! Maybe it was their shape or maybe they really were that good! All I know is that I had quite a few of them!
The characters were also great! Piglet came over twice!
IMG_2008.jpg

IMG_2013.jpg

IMG_2014.jpg

It was so sweet to see all of the little kids reacting! One little boy saw Pooh from a distance and screamed from excitement! His parents had to tell him to sit and assured him Pooh would be over in a minute! J and I just couldn’t help but fantasize about bringing our kiddos someday… :cloud9:
Once we finished breakfast we headed towards Frontier Land. The crowds were really starting to gather, so I knew we had take in as much as possible. We decided to get FPs for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I kept watching it and felt certain my prego self could take it. J actually agreed! Really!?! You mean, I might actually get to ride a coaster of some sort?! So we got the FPs then headed over to Fantasy Land. I really wanted to see Mickey’s Phillharmagic! So glad we did cause I LOVED it!! Again, Donald is J’s favorite and he’s a big part of the show! We were very glad we did this one!
Then we walked over to the Haunted Mansion since J really liked it! He said several times that it was one of his favorites!
We then headed over towards Fantasy Land again to ride the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The wait wasn’t too bad, maybe 15 minutes. We were ready to sit in the back of our “honey pot” when a nice mom said her and her daughter would be happy to ride in the back since I was going to take pictures! We said no way but she insisted! To be honest, I think her daughter may have been Autistic, but she seemed to have a great time! We told her thank you again after the ride! Afterwards, we walked around the gift shop and decided it was time to by “baby” something (keep in mind at this point we had NO idea if we were having a boy or girl, so buying a gift was a little difficult). Daddy J decided he wanted to get baby a stuffed Tigger toy! I found a little green onesie with the Mickey gang on it! (green and yellow are the safe unisex colors, we actually painted the nursery a soft mint green before we were pregnant)
We decided to walk around Toontown for a bit. It was really cute to see the gangs’ homes! I especially loved Mickey’s garden!
Then it was time to head towards BTMR!!
Up next! Will I be able to ride? What do we do for lunch? popcorn::Time to board the Magic Express :sad1:

You really do! I couldn't believe all the neat stuff Morocco had! Even a little museum!

Great update! I agree with you on Canada, I think it is so pretty. That Kaki Gori looked so good! I am definitely getting one of those in October. Can't wait to read about your Magic Kingdom morning!
It was!! Such a refreshing dessert on a hot day!

I know!! Talk about an expensive hobby! ;) He did start to feel better, thank goodness! Vacations are no fun when you're sick!
Let me know if you guys plan on coming to the Dallas area sometime! I know of some awesome Tex Mex places!! :thumbsup2

I love Winnie the Pooh! I really want to do that character breakfast one day. I've never been to Crystal Palace. I love the Mickey Waffles too. The chocolate ones are even better! :thumbsup2

Hope you got to ride BTMRR!

Me too!! It really is a great breakfast! I remember going to CP for lunch when I was 14 and the food was good then!
Chocolate waffles?! I totally missed those! Ah nuts!! Oh well, I'll have to try them next time! :thumbsup2
Thanks for staying along!

Oh my, how did I miss this update from April 27! First off, I love love love you pink Tink shirt! Where did you get that at? Second, Crystal Palace looks so good! We have reservations for breakfast for October and I can't wait to try the puffed french toast. I can't wait to hear if you got to ride Big Thunder Mountain! How is Emma doing? I saw on your ticker she is 4 months now, time must be flying!

Ha! That's ok! And thanks! I'm trying to remember where I ordered it from, somewhere online. I'll have to look it up and get back to you.
And Crystal Palace was soooo yummy! I think that was our favorite buffet/breakfast place!
Emma is doing wonderful! Hasn't been sleeping much lately, but she's still precious! :cloud9:

Last I left, J and I were exploring Magic Kingdom on our final day. We were pretty full from our wonderful breakfast at Crystal Palace so we walked around for a while. Btw, I totally forgot to download some pictures from my last post, so here ya go!
As we walked around, J thought it was fitting to pose!
IMG_2023.jpg

I just love the area between Fantasyland and Liberty Square!

Shots as we waited for Mickey's Philharmagic!

Checking out Mickey's house!
IMG_2038.jpg

"Wow! Those must be hard to grow!" HA!
IMG_2041.jpg

Good Pluto!
IMG_2040.jpg

So it was time to head towards Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! I had waited all week to see if I would be able to ride and guess what.
I did!! It was so great to finally ride a roller coaster! We sat in the front which wasn’t too shaky at all. J could tell I was really happy that I got to ride something!
To be honest, I felt some of the rides that were labeled as “ok” for preggers were actually a little rougher (like the Pirates drop was pretty intense!).
Before we headed out, there was one thing we had to do. Get ourselves a Dolewhip! And it was sooooo yummy!
IMG_2043.jpg

We did have to eat it pretty fast since it was so warm outside. That wasn't a problem! ;)
Once we finished that it was time to head towards the front. The crowds were starting to grow and the parade was starting, so we walked/shopped our way towards the gate.
IMG_2046.jpg

IMG_2047.jpg

One souvenir I wanted was a coffee mug! I had looked for one all week and decided on this one!
IMG_2048.jpg

IMG_2049.jpg

And we had to stop at the candy store, just to look! :rolleyes1
IMG_2050.jpg

IMG_2051.jpg

I'll take one of these to go, please!
IMG_2052.jpg

Ugh, if I worked here I'm sure I would suffer!!
IMG_2053.jpg

Continued on next post!

Continued from previous.
Soon it was time to hop on the monorail back to Epcot.
One last shot as we walked out.
IMG_2054.jpg

Onto the monorail we go...
IMG_2055.jpg

It was so depressing to see people going to Epcot for the day knowing we would have to leave in a little while.
Anyway, we had enough time to get some lunch and I thought Sunshine Seasons would be nice.
IMG_2060.jpg

It was pretty good. I ordered a salad with beats and goat cheese. It was pretty bland until I discovered the dressing under the lettuce! Duh!
IMG_2063.jpg

J ordered chicken with mashed potatoes, salad, and a Rice Krispie treat.
IMG_2061.jpg

I also had strawberry shortcake with mine which was awesome! Be sure to order that if you go!

Soon enough, it was time to walk back to the Boardwalk. The depressing ache in my heart started to set in. We decided to take the boat (it was really hot outside at this point, yuck!).
IMG_2065.jpg

IMG_2066.jpg

We got back to the Boardwalk and gathered our things. I wanted to change tops for the plane since we had walked around all morning. I managed to take a few last shots of the lobby as we waited for the Magical Express.
IMG_2071.jpg

So depressing to see people check in... :guilty:
IMG_2072.jpg

IMG_2075.jpg

Next thing we knew, the bus was here.
Then the quiet and depressing ride to MCO. We did stop off at the Caribbean Resort which looks pretty nice! I love exploring other resorts! The themes are so cute!
Soon enough we made it to the airport and checked in. We got to the gate with about 45 minutes to spare before boarding. J kept himself occupied with a crossword while I looked over my trip report and fantasized about our vacation. Then it was time to board.
It was a fairly smooth flight, I think by that point we were just ready to get home!
We finally landed at DFW around 5:40pm. My dad was nice enough to pick us up. As depressing as it was to leave Disney World, it sure was nice to come home to this:

And to think we only had a few months left until we were to expect this!
IMG_4059.jpg

Just have to share some pics from a birthday party this past weekend!

IMG_4090.jpg

I'd really like to thank everyone for staying along! I know I was horrible at keeping up with my posts (it's amanzing how much time a baby takes, geez!). But we had such a great time and can't wait to plan for our next trip! That may not happen for another couple of years, but who cares?! I'm still excited!
Thanks again everyone! :grouphug:

Aww, I'm so sad this is over! Emma is so cute, I love her little headband in the one picture. Sooo, when do you think you will take her to Disney World???

That strawberry shortcake looks so good! I might have to make a stop at Sunshine Seasons just for that! I am glad you had such a wonderful last day at MK. Last days are always the worst especially when other people's vacations are just starting. I always try to make my self think that other people went through that when they saw us checking in on their last day. I agree with you I am upset but once I get home and see my puppies it makes it all better. Thank you for all you have shared, it sounds like you had a wonderful trip!

Dole Whip! Yum! You made me want one!

I ALWAYS say I'm going to buy a Tigger is that you? shirt and I never do. I love it! Super cute. I NEED to get one this trip.

You totally made me miss BCV with that shot of the pirate ship. :( Loved that pool.

I hate seeing people check-in when I'm leaving!! That's the worst.

Emma is so cute! Just think, next trip, it'll be a whole different experience when she sees everything for the first time. :goodvibes

Hi, GREAT trip report!! And a BEAUTIFUL baby!! We LOVE visiting WDW in the Summer. Thanks for making me FEEL the MAGIC!! Joan
