Wow!!! $3000 that's my entire, trip ( hotel, tickets, airfare, meal plan, and speeding money) He must be planning to buy you some really great gifts!!

Yup, $3000 is our entire budget for a week. It sounds like your DH doesn't understand what your $3000 needs to cover. I would sit down and explain what stuff is already paid for -- room, meals, tix, etc. Ask him what he thinks still needs to be paid for.

I would think that would be way too much spending money. Especially since you have free dining. I would go with 1000.00, and even then I know I would come back with money. Have a wonderful time!!!

Okay, so the first thing I would like is every photopass picture that they take of our family, and then I will pick out a ........
no seriously he will have PLENTY of spending money. My husband keeps asking me every other day "so let me get this straight..if we go to _______ (fill in the blank) and I want a ________ (fill in the blank), it's free???" We too are getting the free dining and I don't think he really understands it yet. I'm sure your hubby is in the same boat with him and keeps thinking of the what if scenario and wants to make sure it's all covered instead of the unexpected and no cash on hand to cover it scenario. Everytime I tell him it's in the plan he says "well I want to just make sure we bring enough $$$ just in case!!!" Gotta love em! They hear but sometimes they just don't listen

Or maybe he's got something up his sleeve??? Special dinner or a wishes cruise type thing that would cost extra money??? You never know....

I think his whole problem is the other family member's we are going with...He has this thing that he wants to take care of their stuff too, and I keep saying, we paid for the trip...we are done!! Plus, we only go once every few years, and I am pregnant with baby # 3, so it will be a long time before we go again, so I think he wants to just "do it up"....you know, not have to worry about the 7.50 for the umbrella drink he ordered (wish I could!!!!!). Plus, everytime we go, he does laps around the store in Frontierland that has the leather coats....He has always wanted one, and I think he was hoping to splurge this time. I know once we get there, we will be fine....

I have a confession to make. When I went down in November I budget $250 a day for just myself. I saved every penny I had for well over a year. For the first half of our 8 day stay (my boyfriend, myself and my two friends) I spend my money on just me towards the end of the week my boyfriend ran out of money and I couldn't watch him stare at me well I eat a mickey rice crispy treats and he drowled. so I payed for him. I spend a good chunk of the money. I realized that maybe I'd went a little over bord when my suit case cost me an extra $25 dollars because it was well over 55 pounds, when I tried to bring it on the plane.Plus two carry ons. When I got home and showed my family what I'd bought they just about died. I felt like Britney Spears or somebody with the amount I went down with. I saw it, I liked it I bought it. in my own defences it had been five years since I had been down before. This year I am only buying seven pins and a few things. My movie star spending habbits are SOO over! It was however great fun to live like that. Heck it was disney world. I was on vaction and apparently off my rocker. Heehee

3k to spend and meals, tickets and hotels paid for? Unless you are buying collectables or other high-end soveniers, you should come HOME with plenty of cash.

3000 may sound like a lot of money but disney has a way of finding ways for you to spend it, especially if you are with a large group
