DD is turning 6 next Saturday and wants a HSM themed party. I was going to do freeze dance to the music from the movies but am at a loss for other ideas.
Anyone have any ideas for a HSM party or know where I can find some?

Thanks!

How about musical chairs? DS(5) was just at a party where they played this, and they had a great time doing it.
I google HSM party games and came across some sites with ideas. Some of the game ideas are geared more for older kids (IMO) but I thought you might find some of it helpful:

and there's more out there if you do a search you may find some better ideas.

hth!

Thank-you for the links - I will check them out.

Musical chairs is a great idea! Goes with the theme and is easy enough for 5 and 6 year olds. :thumbsup2

We just moved from a small apartment into our house and I am so clueless as to how to throw a party. :rolleyes2 I've always had to have the kids' parties at outside venues.

We're much older than 6, but we threw an HSM2 premiere party that would probably be perfect for the average 6 year old. :rotfl:

We purchased a single copy of Tiger Beat or Bop, and it gave us more than enough material to create about 7 party hats. We cut the pictures from the magazine and glued them onto party hats.

We considered making a creme brulee, but we really couldn't be trusted with setting things on fire. Plus, we figured we would never consider eating such a thing!

Check out birthdaypartyideas.com. There are tons of ideas there. My dd had a HSM party for her 6th b-day. We made signs like "Go Wildcats!" "Get Your Head in the Game" etc. We did karoke and made some crafts. My niece taught the girls some dances from HSM also.

VBsHustla - Thanks for the great photos! DD saw them and got all excited. :yay:
I think we'll be skipping the creme brulee too. I would definitely be dangerous with a torch. :rotfl:

for 9yr olds that won a prize last year.. it's mine! :)

We had a great HSM party last year. It's funny, 'cause right now we're in the middle of the same kids Treasure Hunt party. They're going crazy with my super hard puzzles and clues.

My DD went to a HSM party last year. The b-day girl was turning 9, so a little older. They did a craft and asked the parents to show up a little early. They practised dancing and singing to the songs and put on a show for the parents. A sheet was hanging when we arrived, then moved for the show. At the end, they all threw balloons. It was very cute.

We did this for my daughters party last year. I set up a scavenger hunt with items from the movie. Wildcat, megaphone, pompoms, etc... The girls had fun running thru the house looking for the different items. I was lucky that my school colors were red and white and so I could pull some of my stuff out of my hope chest like my graduation cap, letter jacket.

Have fun! To me, as long as you make it fun for them and you show you are having fun and not stressed to the hilt, it will be a blast.

My DD turned 6 in November and we had a HSM party at our house with about 15 other little girls. It was fun! I made microphones out of colored construction paper and let them decorate the microphones with stickers and badges of HSM characters I found on disney's website. We had a pinata and played musical chairs. Also, I found a game on disney's website for "pin the bow tie on Chad". We also got a HSM mural from a party supply store and they took pics in front of it.
Hope this helps. :goodvibes

I did an HSM party for DD for her 6th birthday. We did HSM karaoke & dance party. Made memory bracelets with red/white beads and cheerleader charms. For favors I got red/white pom poms and megaphones at the dollar store.
