HS Star Wars Fireworks

I'm having trouble finding info on the new Star Wars fireworks that are supposed to be at HS starting in January. The Disney Rewards magazine says "will close out weekend nights".

Does that mean no Fantasmic on weekends? The Travel Agents' calendar for January & February still have Fantasmic listed on the weekends, but since there is no mention of the Fireworks on there, I wasn't sure if it just wasn't updated yet.

Also, we were planning on being at HS on a Saturday (2/6), but if this is going to significantly increase weekends crowds there, we'll switch to a different day. I just need to know what to base my decision on before I need to make FP+ reservations, which is quickly approaching for my trip. Any insight on affecting crowds?

Anyone have any info or can point me somewhere that does?

Unfortunately, no details have been released about the fireworks. The speculation is that they will run from January-March, but Disney hasn't made an official announcement yet.

It is possible to have fireworks and Fantasmic on the same day, so no reason to think that Fantasmic will be canceled.

During previous Star Wars Weekends, the fireworks were between the early and late Fantasmic shows. It didn't impact Fantasmic at all. Might be the same if they decide to do them for season of the force.
