I am looking for advice for next week. We have been to WDW many times and have rode most of the rides. We have not been since GE opened. So we have not rode MFSR, ROtR, SDD, and MMRR.

We have only two park days. We will be going to HS Monday with a hop EP later that evening.

My DS’s (9&11) are now tall enough to ride RnR and would like to do that.

We have an Oga’s ressie at noon and Savi’s at 2:45.

We are driving in. We plan on being at the toll booths for just before 8am.

Taking all of the above into consideration what would the best strategy be to ride everything we want in the one day.
I was thinking we would rope drop RnR then head to SDD then TSMM then head over to explore GE and do MFSR. I think we will wait till we head out of the park in the evening to do MMRR.

Thoughts?

For Rise of the Resistance you do know you need a boarding group? It has no standby line. There is an entire thread on getting one. They do drops prior to park opening and at 1pm. You have to have a Hollywood Studios park reservation to get a chance. They go fast.

I am aware. I have been practicing daily at 7am and 1pm. I have gotten in every day so far I tried till I get stopped with the no park ressie for that day. I am ready for when I have my actual ressie on Monday.
I’m just looking for thoughts on how best to ride the other rides. Whenever my BG is (hopefully I get in!) I will be there.

I would go directly to SDD since you have not ridden and the line gets long quickly, then head over to Smuggler’s Run, back to the front to do MMRR. With lunch, Oga’s, and Savi’s you need to get as much done in the morning as possible. If you go to Rock N Rollercoaster first you risk an hour wait for Slinky Dog.

I agree with this and this strategy was successful for us in mid-April. Don’t forget the park opens close to an hour before the posted opening time. SDD had in our experience the longest lines throughout the day. When we went there first it was basically walk on, then Smugglers run was quick and MMRR was quick as well. Throughout the day we found the standby for rock n rollercoaster to be less that 30 min (closer to 15-20 actual wait) throughout the 3 days we were there. Our worst of our 3 days was when we rope dropped tower of terror instead of slinky as it wasn’t running yet!

This would be my strategy as well. Definitely do SDD first.
