HS or AK with toddler?

Oh wow! Mine is rather short, so she can be easily mistaken for just over 2.
I know my DD would LOVE Safari. But we currently have the annual zoo membership, so other than Safari - you ride bus and see the animals - I am not sure if it is very exciting for her.

Do you mind sharing me how your plan changed? That might be also helpful! Thank you.

Sure! Our first 6 days were HS, MK, Ep, Ep, MK, AK. We had planned to do HS again the 7th and last day, but my son really wanted to go to AK and finish Wilderness Explorers and my daughter (3-yr old) wanted to go to MK and ride the carousel. So I said goodbye to my TSMM fastpasses and we split up for the last day. We did have park hoppers, though, so we met up in HS mid afternoon cause hubby had really wanted to see Indiana Jones.

Really, the evening of our 6th day, we realized we had already done nearly everything we wanted in our first 6 days, so we just let the kids decide what they wanted to do again.

How long was your total trip?
We're going for 14 days, first day arriving rather late (6PM at MCO), and last day, we want to take it easy - final good bye to resort, walk around, etc.
So we're really there for 12 days. I wonder if we should shorten our park passes to 7 days since we have WPFAM which allows us to go to mini-golf, Water parks (weather permitting - we are going in Dec). We don't feel like we need park hopper based on our past experiences. Shows and etc, my DH and I went as a couple 4 years ago, so this trip is really geared towards my DD.

We were there for 7 days and did a park every day, which was a little much, but ended up working ok. The kids did parks until about 3 every day, then back to the hotel for swimming, dinner and bed. My 5-yo did go back 2 evenings for fireworks. The kids didn't park hop except to HS that last day. We had other adults with us, though, and they and my husband used the hoppers the other evenings. I was happy to stay in with the kids. Not a night owl at all! (I know it is 3 am now, I have a baby who doesn't yet sleep all night, lol)

Our next trip, we are planning on breaking it up with 1-2 days at the resort. Water parks sound like a good option, too. I think your trip with 6 or 7 park days and a few water park trips sounds like a good pace for a young 3 yr old.

WS is World Showcase. People don't always realize that kids can and do really enjoy it if done in small doses. There are bands and all kinds of acts on the streets and it is just so different than the rest of the parks. Some people really do not like park hoppers but for us, a whole day in a park is just too much and our kids are not little anymore. We often take a break and then hop somewhere else for dinner. Just changing parks sometimes lets you rest and gives you that extra burst of energy.

Much appreciated.

We will definitely consider PH when my DD is older. I think it is good idea to go through WS in multiple days, rather than all at once.

I don't think an 8 day ticket is too much for a 12 day trip. Given it's December - the chances you hit a waterpark are slim - maybe one day for a few hours between 12-5. Plus - given the price difference between 7 and 8 days for you - why not? You only have to go to a park for a couple of hours to make the 8th day worth it. And mini-golf - maybe you play twice - and that could easily be the same day as you went to a park. I think 8 days of tickets for a 12 day trip is perfect.

I agree with the no hoppers philosophy! I never buy those when traveling with others at WDW - and I rarely use the option on an AP when traveling solo. Too much waste time during the day - I've got better things to do then spending my time commuting between parks.

Thank you. Now the question is when to visit the parks!
They just added EMH to MK almost every day of our 2nd week when we're there! So I will have to see what the impact is!
