HS is stressing me out! Help?

I'm trying to make a touring plan for HS. We are going on a day with EMH and we'll be there as early as possible.

It will be me, DH, DS3 and DS8 (obsessed with Star Wars). I just feel like I don't know how to schedule the shows and rides in an order that makes sense and I don't know if I'm allowing enough time for each. Yes, I'm using Touring Plans but still haven't come up with a plan that seems like it will work...

Our wish list:
Jedi Training (DS8)
Toy Story Mania (all of us)
Rock n Roller coaster (just me and DH)
ToT (me, DH, DS8-- using RS because of younger son)
Star Tours (DH and DS8)
Disney Jr. (all of us or just me and DS3)
Star Wars Launch Bay
Star Wars Launch Bay Theatre
Path of the Jedi
March of the First Order
Plus any other Star Wars stuff we can fit in! (I think all the rest happen in Animation Courtyard-- so do we just allow ourselves time to hang out there during the day???)

We have early supper at H&V at 3:45 and Fantasmic at 7:00

Any advice? Get rides done early and then focus on Star Wars and shows? I don't even know where to start, other than signing up for Jedi Training right away.

Haven't even included Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, or Indiana Jones because it seems like a lot to fit in...right?

Honestly? As a Star Wars fan myself, I'd leave out Path of the Jedi. Its a chunk of time for what quite literally is a clip show, part of what you'll have already seen at the Launch Bay theatre. It seems like a lot, and Star Tours is quite far from Launch Bay when you really walk it out. I wouldn't necessarily bunch your FPs together either, its a little spread out in the park (aside from RnR and ToT).
March of the First Order is very quick, but I think your son will LOVE it. Jedi Training is a priority, and depending on when you get your time slot for it, may need to rearrange everything.

HS is really hard to schedule if you want to do shows. For a lot of people it’s a half day park but shows really throw a wrench in things. And JTA also makes it tough because you don’t know for sure what time you’re going to get.

I guess my best advice is to realize its not possible to do everything there in one day. It’s not. No matter how many times you hear it’s a half day park. There are too many shows with set start times. Don’t try to completely stuff the day or you’ll run around like crazy people. Let everyone pick a couple must dos and prioritize those. TP will give you a good sense of how much is reasonable.

We found it has worked well for us to try for a late afternoon JTA time to leave lower crowd morning times free for rides. Do the shows in the afternoon. One caveat is that JTA is outdoor with no shade so if it’s hot that may change your plans.

When are you going? If it is before TS land opens then I wouldn’t worry about anything but jedi training. The place has been empty on our last trips. With TS land rumored to open around Memorial Day that will change. It will also throw off touring plans.

Hi, we were in Hs this spring with ds 9 and ds4 so similar ages. I personally think your older ds would be bored at the Disney junior show. I would coordinate a ride on star tours or TOT with a Disney Jr showtime leaving yourself plenty of time for your whole family to go to let’s just say tower of terror, show your little one, get a rider swap for you to use later, then you take ds 3 to the show while they are riding ToT (get one set of fastpass for dh and ds8 and a different set for the other two). We did a lot of divide and conquering on our trip so that ds4 wasn’t sitting around waiting for big brother. Make sure to sign up for Jedi training first thing. Skip path of the Jedi, not a good use of time (we are huge Star Wars fans and actually did the Star Wars guided tour one day of our trip). If they are still doing the Star Wars fireworks show at night do that! We loved it! My boys also love the Indiana Jones show, so if you have to pick and choose shows I’d pick that over mermaid and beast (haven’t done beast show but my boys weren’t interested). Also allow some time for shopping in the Star Wars store after the ride (or take your little one in there while older ds rides), you can Build your own droids and lightsabers. There was also a stage show with lots of characters that was fun for the kids, and we all loved meeting chewy and Kylo ren at launch bay (I think there are other characters there now?). Have fun!

I would definitely try to do RnR and ToT early. On our trip last week we were able to hit those and Star Tours x3, Toy Story Mania, Launch Bay/BB-8 Meet & Greet, Mickey & Minnie Meet & Greet and four shows - Indiana Jones, Beauty & The Beast, MuppetVision and Fantasmic.So it is definitely possible, substituting your Disney junior stuff for some of what we did that’s not on your list.

I gave up trying to schedule a lot of things with a lot of people ( 8 ) in my case so now we take fewer but long trips and I schedule 2 days Epcot, 2 days Hollywood, 1 day Animal Kingdom and 3 days at Magic Kingdom every trip, we just take fewer trips.
