HS in January?..

Can someone please explain to me what will be going on at HS in January? I'm hearing all kinds of negative comments about what it will be like then, but I can't figure out why.

It's probably just people realizing how much of the park is currently closed, and will be closed for the foreseeable future until the expansions get completed a few years down the road.

But what exactly is going to be closed? All I can find information on is TSM having an addition added (while current ride remains open).

Currently, there's nothing scheduled for closure/refurb at HS in January. There's a lot of speculation about what might be closed in the future to make way for the new construction, and there are a number of things that have been closed already, but there's nothing else that's officially been announced as closing right now.

So, what has closed already because I can't seem to find anything about what is closed (and will be in January). The only thing that applies to that time is the TSM addition which should still allow the current attraction to be open.

It won't be listed because what's closed has been permanently closed already. There is no more backlot tour, and the animation studio area is gone.

It's rumoured that One Man's Dream may go but no one knows for sure

Nothing different to look forward to closing in January that wouldn't already be closed now.

There's been a trend of closings with no replacements. Both attraction theaters near The Great Movie Ride are dark (Idol, Sounds Dangerous) and the above mentioned recent closings.

I think people are also reacting to the rumored/future closings expected, such as Muppets and Voyage of the Little Mermaid. People are worried there will be a lot less before the new expansions open. If you have a park hopper ticket, go and enjoy. If you have a ticket that limits you to one park on a day, then evaluate what IS open before you commit.
