OK, I ask again about situation/event gifts. I have a cousin graduating HS and, my bro's step-daughter graduating HS as well, this June. Parties are the same day. I have a written invite to cousin's, verbal notification of step-niece's party. I know already that I'll somehow manage to attend both since, my immediate family will be doing the same as me, attendance-wise, BUT, I have obvious/apparent differences with these 2 girls so, do I give different monetary gifts or, the same? Given family history, this would mean $100 or more per girl! Flame me all you want but, I really only feel this amount of gift worthy for my cousin. My step-niece is not at all close, rarely (if ever) do I see her, she's trouble (Capital T) and, I can't equate same gift/same occasion in this scenario. I honestly don't know WHY SIL is having any Party since, she's done nothing but complain about her DD and the troubles she has.
Trust me tho, if you feel I'm wrong, I'll listen. That's why I'm posting.
flame suit ready!
