With 5 rides in tier 1 at HS, what is everyone's experiences with getting additional tier 1 FP's in the evening? I'm thinking those last 2-3 hours of the day. Which tier 1 ride do you think has the best chance at availability that late in the day?

Right now, 5p ET, there is no Tier 1 availability for a party of 2 in DHS.

When is your trip?

In the evening? None. I don't think we've ever been able to get a tier 1 in the evening at HS. Sorry!
But if I were to guess which would be the most likely to become available, I'd guess alien saucers.

Probability isn’t high but if you refresh enough times you’ll find something worth riding in the evening. Grab a beer (or flight) at Baseline and refresh until you get something you want!

Also I’d imagine you’d have the best chances of finding Alien Spinning Saucers or TSM followed by RnRR. SDD will always be hard to find and I always find ToT is harder to find at night because people like riding it in that atmosphere.

My experience as well, every time. I’ve had better luck at rope drop or even early and then grabbing afternoonFPs, but with the new tier 1 being 5 really desirable rides, I don’t expect to have that kind of luck in December.

Thanks, everyone. I figured most would be gone by the evening, but I was hoping there might be a chance to get something in the evening.

Trip is 12/25-12/29. We are doing HS twice. The morning of 12/27 we plan to rope drop and dedicate the entire first half of the day to SW:GE. FP's are for AK at night. The evening of 12/28 we will have FP's for SDD, TSM, and RnRC. We would love to ride ToT as well, but if we can't find a 4th FP for it, we will just hop in line at park close.

Given the week you are going, your chances dropped even more.

Are you staying Club Level? What is the trick to being able to FP all of those rides? Thanks! Maybe tiers changed and I missed it. I haven't been on the DIS for awhile.

Last week we got ToT around 5:45pm when we did our last FP in AK on FoP. As soon as our bands scanned I refreshed and 7:45 popped up. We did Lyft from AK to HS - we were there in around 10 minutes! Good luck - just keep refreshing.

HS tiers have not changed.

If you are doing CL FPs, this is exactly what we had. Our plan was to RD ToT on our HS morning but instead, got in line for ToT at the end of our HS evening which was two nights before. That saved us an early morning! Wait time was posted as 40 min but it was only 20. Obv you are going at a busy time but maybe end of night could work fine.

Between TSM and ToT, which attraction would you attempt to ride at park close late December?

I haven’t been since SWGE opened, but we have found that we can get a decent amount done late in the evening. My kids are not that into the show, so if we skip it, lines get a lot shorter while everyone else is watching it. And we like to close the park, so our last trip we would get into SDD right before close. I’ve gotten Midway Mania and TOT Fastpasses later in the day before. Mostly it’s going to depend on how crowded the park is.

Whichever one you prefer riding. :-) We would choose TSM, but that's only because me and DD don't like ToT.
As long as you're in line before park closing, you're fine. My decision might depend on where you happened to be in the park and the time. If I only had a few min to get there, I'd probably just go with whatever ride I was closest to, to be sure I was able to get on one last ride.

Last week, we were able to book Tower of Terror and Alien Swirling Saucers as 4th and 5th fast passes (our 3rd was in the 3:30ish window if I recall correctly). We had a party of 3.

Either one should not be difficult.
We have done SDD several times at close and waited 15 minutes.
TSMM and ToT will be less. I would do which ever you enjoy more, or have ridden less that day. Both are good options.
