Well goodness have my ADRs been changing lately!
I am almost to my 180 day out and I think I have changed my mind again.
We don't have a park hopper so I need something near or in HS.

Dining will be myself, hubby, my mom, and our then 2 year old.
originally we were going to do Cape May for my seafood loving husband but I REALLY don't like seafood and I see very little for myself or son to eat.
The Sci-Fi menu looks surprising great and maybe the best option for my son.
we have been to 50s and loved it but want to try something new.
Any opinions or tips would be greatly appreciated!

*Sci Fi has great atmosphere. The food is "good" in my opinion, but not great. It's a neat place to go. Everyone should go at least once.
*Mama Melrose at Disney Hollywood. We really like this place. We had a good chicken parm dinner there last time.

I can't visit HS without Sci-Fi, but I just love it... :)

Have you checked the Disney Jr. buffet? That was pretty good, we did it with DD this year and it was great to see some of her faves that we wouldn't normally wait in line for...

You could also try the cafe at the Beach Club? That's a great place to eat for either a meal or just an ice cream... (I can't think of the name!)

Last trip we ate at Sci-Fi, we both really enjoyed our choices, I had ribs I think he had a burger.

I like the Disney Jr character brunch at Hollywood & Vine. Has a pretty good buffet and some good characters you don't get anywhere else. Doc McStuffins, Jake, Handy Manny and Sofia the First were the characters last September. But only if you want a character buffet!

I've never had anything bad at Sci Fi! We eat there almost every trip (DD loves it, and honestly she never asks for much, so we go to please her!).

The food is consistently freshly prepared. I usually stick with a sandwich of some sort, and treat myself to onion rings! It's also not expensive if you do that!

The atmosphere is cute, and on a very hot day it's so cooling to be in the dark! I always bring a little sweater; don't know if they keep it a few degrees cooler in there for a reason.

The movie clips would probably entertain a 2 year old a bit!

My 3 kids all hate seafood but loved Cape May.

But if that's off the table, how about Beaches and Cream?

If you've never been to SciFi, it's worth a try. Honestly, we're at the point where we happily skipped it last trip, but it's something you should consider. In case you're considering, the sci fi movies are of the Woody Woodpecker in Space variety.

I can only speak from my experience of Cape May, If you don't like seafood there isn't much else defiantly not worth the price you will pay

Sci-Fi Café is a must do every trip. Our first visit being when my DS was 3. This is by far his favorite restaurant.
