Do you need them both?
Does the purchase of the "all access" = better chance of room upgrade?
thank you!

HRH isn't a Loews hotel so YouFirst does not work there. You need the All Access.

:blush:Does Loews only handle the booking?

I'm looking at my you first account on the loewshotels.com site and I see my reservation (I think I booked it through that link but can't recall if it was from Universal link).

Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando
5800 Universal Boulevard
Orlando, FL, US

what am I missing?

Yes, you can book on the Loews site but it isn't a Loews hotel. Since it had been until about 2 years ago and they have kept on the website there must be some contract agreements. When you call to book any of the three onsite resorts, they send you to a central reservation system. You can also book HRH Orlando through www.hardrock.com http://www.hardrockhotelorlando.com/

If you look at the fine print on the Loews site, you will see that it says that the Hard Rock is not eligible for You First credits. https://www.loewshotels.com/en/YouFirst/TermsAndConditions.aspx (look at number 2)

Thank you so much for the fine print interpretation.

Hmm, now I wonder if I can get the all access card in time....

With the crowds the way they are now it isn't likely you will get an upgrade even with the all access card. We didn't. You can get priority seating at the Hard Rock Cafe and a later checkout so even if you don't get an upgrade it can still be worth it.

Another sign of the crowds is that they are giving you incentives to leave early. So if you check out before 8am you get 3 entries in a contest to win a free return trip, before 9am 2 entries, and so on. So for now they may not even offer the late checkout but we were leaving early anyway so I'm not sure on that.

No expectations.
Does anyone know if you can buy the card at the cafes? I've checked the website and I can't tell. I'll call them tomorrow - don't want to bug them during the dinner rush.

Last summer when we stayed at Hard Rock, they gave us a free All Access card at checkin, and we were able to use it for a room upgrade. I don't know if they are still doing this. This card can be used for discounts and upgrades, but doesn't accumulate points.
They let me know about this when I called the hotel before I came.

I ordered my card and it only took 2 and a half weeks to get to my home and I live in Canada. I couldn't believe it.

sorry for asking but what is the "all access card"? lol

im usually reading the disney side of this board
