HRH Slide Not Working?

I keep hearing reports that the slide at the Hard Rock Hotel isn't working or isn't working all the time? Is this true? One of the main reasons we are staying at the Hard Rock this time instead of the Portofino Bay was due to the slide!

Hi tscurley- I don't know if it's now broken but on my last 2 trips to HRH the slide is closed when the lifeguard that sits at the top is off. ( breaks, bad weather and darkness are some reasons for it not being open).

I don't know when It was closed by my DS enjoyed the slide on Sunday afternoon. We pool hopped from RPR.

We just returned and the slide was operating every day we were there.

It was working the 4 nights we were there and they kept it open until about 10:30 pm. What a great place to stay. I miss it already. HRH spoiled my kids. When we went over to the BW at Disney they didn't even want to swim in the pool. They said the pool slide was slow and bumpy and hurt their rears. They missed the HRH.

Thanks so much for the feedback!! I feel better already and can hardly wait until the later part of August to get here! We're staying at the Hard Rock this year! Last year was Portifino Bay and we had a great time there!!
