HRH Rates

Well, for the third time in the last month I contacted Universal Vacations to set up our trip for next mid-March. Well, low and behold they finally had rates in their system for Pool and Garden view rooms, but nothing yet for Deluxe or Club, so I asked them to give me Loews number direct.

Before I got off the phone with Univ. Vacations, I had them price a 6 night stay at HRH in Pool View room for 2 adults and 2 children with all the amenities. It came to a whopping $2397, which wasn't bad compared to last year.

I then called up Loews and told them my dilemma. I wanted to book as soon as possible should things ever get busy again and get the room of my choice. The lady told me the standard rate they had for our family was $279 a nite in the Deluxe, but at the AAA or Loews First rate we could get a Club room with 2 queens for only $225 a night, so I jumped on that and then ordered the 4 park flextickets direct for another $575.

All in all, we saved about $500 by going through Loews and got a much better deal.

Now, anyone here that has stayed in both a Deluxe and Club, which to you is better and do the perks of the Club rooms make them more desirable as well over the larger room in the Deluxe from what I hear?

Did you check for a Fan club rate? we got a rate of 139 pool view in nov. 129 garden view.

Peterd, What number did you call? I called the loew's number today and the best I could do was AAA rate of 149 garden view.

You got a clubroom for $225 in mid-March with Loews First Rate? When I called Loews for a club room in March, they quoted $319. Maybe my Loews First "Blue" card is not good enough. Do you have the "Gold" or "Platinum" card? Does it matter what color your card is?

The $225 rate is the Blue Loews first card with a AAA membership. I don't think they work in combination, but it is one or the other.

The other reason the rate may be better now than when you checked is because of the economy tanking right now and they are working hard to attract more tourism.

Not sure, but I have the Blue card too. Deluxe rate was $179, Pool view, $149, and Garden View $139

I didn't ask about fan club rate as I didn't know there was one....

We're in the Loew's club also, Our first trip at HRH we had 3 rooms so they sent us the gold card after our first trip, but it didn't offer much of a discount for our next trip. Mostly upgrades etc... The AAA was a little higher when we asked, the AP wasn't as good as the fan club rate, I've read the entertainment rate is pretty good, but haven't asked about it. Ask if the fan club is any better for your dates? If it is, we'll make sure you get one.

What is the fan club? I've read a lot of postings about the fan club rate. Any other benefits? How do you join?

Just got off the 1-800-LOEWS-11 number which is for Loews First members. Here is the skinny at this time.

The $225 rate on the Club level room is a AAA rate. It is not a Loews First rate which is the standard $309 for the same room. So there is no discount right now for a Loews First member, but you do gain the minor perks of it if you use it. To me that is silly because the price discount of a AAA rate more than makes up for the loss of the Loews First perks and I'll probably still get the perks when I flash my card at the desk.

As for Fan Club rate, there is none at this time. So basically, the only discount available right now is on AAA. There was no entertainment rate discount either, so that is where we are right now.
