Hello all.

Sorry for the "over heard" topic, however I have no idea what to expect.

I am trying to book a room for one night in October. (After DCL, before Disney AKL stay) It is a saturday night and I am finding 149$ as the best rate on http://www.a1-discount-hotels.com/.

I called their CRO, however they are saying that they have a Minimum night stay of 2 nights, thus will not book the room for me.

Is the 149$ a good rate or should I look elsewhere?

Thanks in advance!

You can get a entertainment card rate of $ll7 for standard room or $l29 for pool view. Also, fan club card discount is about $l39 for standard room. Call the 800# off the Loews hotels website for more info.

I'm trying to get a room for my daughter for a Saturday in Sept. or Oct., and your rate is the best I've seen so far. I got quoted $169.00. I went on the entertainment rate and it was less, but these rates are no longer available. I'm going to try the site you said too and see how I do.
Thanks.

Did anyone ever use Discount Hotel Reservations before? They are the best prices for the month of September since the HRH says they're sold out.
I've never booked a room over the internet before, so I'm a little leary, but in the spring Ticketmania really worked out for me, so with a good recommendation, I'm willing to give this a try.

Thanks.

You should always bring a copy of your confirmation. With any of the consolidators check the following:
1) When is your credit card charged. Some make you prepay for your entire stay when you make the reservation, some take a deposit and some let you pay when you check in.
2) Are there any service fees.
3) Can you change or cancel your reservation? What is the fee if any. Also check the number of days. Some of the consolidators won't let change without a fee others just use the hotel policy (typically 2-5 days).
4) Some of the consolidators have real time inventory information. Some check with the hotel after you make a reservation request and then get back to you with a confirmation from the hotel.
Since the HRH is heavily booked I'd make the reservation (if it's cancellable) now. It's better to pay an extra $10 -20 /night than not having a room.

Glory Days- Try again at HRH with the entertainment rate. I tried adding nights on, was told no dates available, then called back that night, and they were available and plenty more.

I think it really depends on who you talk to.

I tried and tried for Prtofino, but was told that they do not honor the Entertainment rate there even though it is on their website. Is that true?

My sister got Portofino at $150 this past week with her Entertainment card.

Maybe they don't have anymore available or maybe they are discontinuing it but I doubt that.

Beattyfamily-

Now that aggrevates me!!! I asked specifically if the rates were all gone, and they said no, they don't honor Entertainment rate at Portofino. I will try again today and see what answer I get.

Thanks for the info.!!!:)

Called again and told HRH still a sell-out for Saturdays in Sept., so I did call the discount hotel number shown above, but was told there would be a $50.oo cancellation fee or even a change fee. Guess I better be sure of the exact date and number of people before I book.

I was told by HRH reservations that I could get the Portofino, but I thought 3 -21 year old recent college grads would prefer the HRH. Agree?

The last time I used Discount Hotel Reservations I got a one bedroom condo at the Marriott Grande Vista for 119$!!!!

Marriott had my reservation a week after I made the reservation over the website and I had NO trouble with check in.

I highly recomend them.
