Hi, All!
We are visiting my parents in FL next winter and want to plan a trip to Universal. We were thinking of taking my parents along to Universal and I am wondering which resort would be best for my father who will probably end up using an electric scooter. We would like to stay Club level and we need a room for 5. Any suggestions? I guess I am looking to see which would offer the easiest access from the room and the parks with a scooter while also trying to limit the amount of walking for my mother. There may be no easy answer but I am open to all opinions.
Thank you!!!

Hi, my husband and I go to Universal Studios twice a year and once a year we take my parents who are elderly. My father is 80 an my mother is 67. We have stayed with them at the Portofino and at the Hard Rock. If you are going to have five people in your room I think the best bet is two get a 2 bedroom suite or you can get two connecting rooms. I would reserve directly through the hotel. Do not use 1-800-BE-A-Star. You can get a better deal going through the hotel directly. We also always rente a scooter for my father and you can put the scooter on the boat transportation that is given at any of the Loews Hotels (Hard Rock, Portofino Bay or the Royal Pacific). It's a short walk from any of the hotels to where the boats dock. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

also, the HRH has elevators. we were on the club level last year and there were 2 scooters there. however, they were left outside of the rooms and everyone ( yes, adults included:rolleyes: ) kept playing with/on them. the PBH might be a better place for the folks since HRH is a major party hotel;) all of the drunks get kind of loud going back to our rooms, even tho we try to be quite...

At HRH the lounge is on the same floor as the club rooms so that may be more convenient for your parents. The Club rooms at PBH are Deluxe and would be more accommodating for five people. I have heard lots of negative comments about PBH club but it's your call.
