Just got to next stop on the trip from HRH Club.

We had requested room 7019 as it was a deluxe. Ended up in 7041 which was also a deluxe - which was what we needed and requested. I had checked 4 times on this and had spoken with a desk manager, not just reservations to make sure of this request.

Stay was great. FOTL is well worth the cost of rooms.

NO AMENITIES at all I was told unless you pay the full rack rate - I had AAA. They didn't even want to give Lowes credit or my Amtrak miles.

For those wondering, in room were shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, mouthwash, sewing kit, toothbrush/paste, lint brush, shoe cloth, 2 regular packets of coffee, 1 decaf, bars of hand, face and body soap, 2 drawstring plastic bags and shower cap.

Breakfast on club was coffee, skim & whole milk, hot chocolate mix, several teas & hot water, orange & apple juice, chocolate chip & blueberry mini muffins, plain, sesame and poppy seed bagels, apple jacks, frosted flakes & raisin bran cereal, butter, grape, strawberry & raspberry jelly, mixed cut fruit, and a different bread each day.

Happy hour was: heinekin(sp), bud light, 3 wines, normal drinks.
Sunday night was: pasta salad(very average), 3 cheeses cubed, meatballs, rolls, an italian salad with meats & olives (very good), veggie tray & dip.

Monday night: mini hot dogs & buns, small soft pretzels, ketchup, mustard, relish, 3 different cheeses cubed, veggie tray & dip.

Tuesday night: wings w/ 2 sauces, cornbread muffins, 3 cheeses cubed, veggie tray & dip.

Bedtime had oreos & chips ahoy every night. Sunday night also had 2 puddings & rice krispy treats. Monday night had chocolate covered pretzels, brownies & blonde brownies. Tuesday night we didn't go down, but DD said only the 2 cookies.

I won't be on much until after the 19th as we are now at the wedding. DD and I do Discovery Cove on 14th, Sea World on 15th.

HTH

Aaronx has posted on a thread where he indicated that AAA is the only discount that would be honored because of a prior arrangement w/ Loews. Maybe you should have received the gift & had it counted as a qualifying stay.

Goldcupmom,
What was the view from your room? We will be staying on club level at HRH in July and was thinking about requesting a room. Also, did they have donuts during breakfast? I read somewhere that they had Krispy Kremes.

Hi Julie, Glad to hear you had such a great time and got the deluxe room!! Thank You so much for posting! I am hoping we will be as lucky. With the 5 of us we could really use the extra space! Joan

Yes, Loews has informed me that you do recieve your rewards if you have booked a AAA rate.

our view was of the front of the hotel, just to the left of the driveway cover as we were looking out.

Yes, there were donuts at breakfast - NOT Krispy Kremes . Sugar coated, glazed cruller type, chocolate frosted - all raised type and chocolate cake donuts with a glaze.

Our room was very large. with the sofa bed pulled out there still was much more floor space than a normal hotel. DS said we could have brought sleeping bags and about 6 more people and still have walking room. LOL!
