We got up early and had breakfast at Emack, rolls coffee cereal. Then to IOA. We were there by 9 and went to the Hulk. I am not a coaster freak. I have gone on the Rocking Rollercoaster, but don't go on at Hershey Park dorney or 6 Flags. Just a mental thing I guess. More comfortable in Florida. At the entrance this 60ish garndfather and kids comes off and tells me it is the most smooth ride he has ever been on. I go with DS. It is the best ride I have been on
. DD and DW joins us. Just show the room key and were on like 4times. They aren't even scanning yet. FOTL rocks. We then go clockwise and hit every ride in the park. The Mummy is breathtaking in its scenery. I wish you could walk it to see the detail! DD opted out of the Mummy so we child swap. Next visit she tells us.
Let me just say that I had read about the problems with the lockers. There has to be better way. We spent 30 minutes until the attendant came to open the locker
We will never use a locker again. I felt really bad for the attendant as he was swarmed with irate customers.
We had lunch at the pizzaria near the Hulk, and went back for a swim. We spent the rest of the day at the pool relaxing and went to Pastamore for Dinner. The food was good and the staff alot of fun. We spent a good amount of time at Citiwalk walking around. It was crowded and a fun atmosphere. There are alot of street performers here. It reminded me of how WDW used to be. We have notice that there are fewer side diversions at WDW that would distact as you walked around the parks. Universal has alot of entertainment all around.
Sunday DS got me up early and we left DW & DD home to sleep in. This is where the disposible cooler would have come in handy. I got the fridge key but was afraid of spoiling the products they warn you about on the pamphlet. So I would put our snacks and milk in during the night and take it out during the day. It was alittle bit of a pain. I don't want to sound cheap. I know that this is a 3-4 star hotel but I'm not paying 6$ for a bottle of water from Fiji
I'm not Trump so we made the best of the situation.
We were at the gat by 815 and the gat opened alittle after 830. We were the first on Dueling Dragons front row for both Fir and Ice. Let me also say that getting there early the staff are much more relaxed. The will spend time explaing the ride, the setting the differences of the rides. It was alot more fun for the both of us. We rode DD 6 times and it was even 930 yet
We grouped at the Hulk and hit the rides that DW, DD wanted to hit. We also saw Poseidon, and Sinbad both were really good. DD love sinbad. We made reservations at Myhos and went back to the hotel for a swim.
Myhos gets alot of posts and it was a really good dinner. It was under 100$ for the 4 of us with drinks. If you can swing it the restaurant is a must do. There were all kinds of people eating. Little ones, people in bathing suits and families celebrating an occaision. The banana gooey pie was a hit with the kids. Also I had read about the poster talking about the 150 year old Grand Marnier... its only 90$
On Monday we went to WDW to use a 1 day out of a 5 day hopper pass. I was told over the phone that the only way to know if you owe money is to have the ticket scanned. We got up early and took a cab from the HRH I have used Mears in the past and it was a hassle. The fare was 28$ without tip. The driver told me that there is an 8$ fee for the cab at the entrance to MGM. I thought that this was aliitle high to pay for the privledge to pull up to a theme park but so be it. I was wondering afterward if I went to the main WDW transportation hub if the fee is wave?
We got thru the turnstiles with out paying extra so I guess it all equaled out. We went right to the Tower of terror. It was the one ride that we missed the last time. It is great what a ride. We fass past the Rocking Rollercoaster and did it twice. The park was pack, and I was already missing FOTL. we went to the car stunt show and ate at Mama Roses. The A/C felt great. We went to the Muppet Movie and DD was disappointed as there was about 5 minutes missing from the movie. We have been on the ride alot in our past visits. The park was now really crowded and we left for EPCOT.
Epcot was packed. 60 min wait for Soarin but only 10 min for Mission Space. DW wanted to go to the body war part of the park so we planned on meeting in an hour. Mission was a fun ride, it reminded me of the roolercoaster design at Downtown disney. DS kept pointing out the announcements of motion sickness. I didn't think this would be aproblem as we rode all the rides at US. WRONG
DS came off with nausea and a head ache. I got him a drink and a pretzel and he felt better. DW called and said that the entire section of body wars was closed for the season. She was pretty mad. We decided to wait in the air conditioning at soarin. 90 minutes in the A/C helped DS. He didn't like the ride every one else did except for the wait. DW wanted to see Illuminations but thye crowds were too much.
If anybody is going down in primetime let me just say one thing. I saw alot of rude behavior the time we were in the parks. I expect to see rude behavior. But the SOUTH AMERICAN TOUR GROUPS ARE UNBELIVABLE. They come in a swarm and control whatever they come upon. It was really bad at WDW. That was the biggest headache for us. ( if your gonna flame me so be it)
We took the cab back and got a take pizza and salad reccommended by the driver. We finished the night at the pool.
