We have the entertainment rate booked for HRH next week 4 nights poolview $140 and 1 night w/o rate at $219 (couldn't get it on the weekend). Here's my question....

What are the chances of an upgrade to club level? I'd consider paying the $35 suite upgrade with my loews first card.

I called to confirm my ressies and asked if club level was available for the week we're there, he said yes at $299/night, no entertainment rate available. I'm not willing to pay an additional $159/night for club level.

Anyone out there ever been upgraded to club level? Did you have a discount room rate? Did they charge you additional for the upgrade?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Only 5 more days and we're on our way....Looking forward to our first trip to USO!

Sorry that I can't answer your question, but how do you get Entertainment rate?

Hi,

I was upgraded to Club Level at RPR with $99 Entertainment rate, but I was VERY surprised to have it happen. I think it was an unusual occurance so I wouldn't count on it happening. Here's what I did...I sent in a letter (not email) congratulating them on the resort opening, but mentioning casually that an upgrade to Club would make our vacation there. It didn't hurt that the resort was still in "Grand Opening" mode. They were going all out to please the guests. It also was helpful that I had Loew's First Platinum status. I don't know if this tactic would work for an established resort but it doesn't hurt to try right?

Good Luck, I know you will have fun where ever you end up.

Stayed at HRH 7/11 to 7/13 with fan club rate of $139/night. Got upgrade to club level for additional $50.00 a night with Loews first. The girl at the counter was hesitant to give me the upgrade because of the room rate I had. It looked like she was about to check with a superior, but I did a little schmoozing (ie. "it's our first time, you want us to come back", relatives in the same city, etc.) and she said "what the heck". For me and my two teenagers (DS 16 and DD 14) it was definitely worth the $50 for all of the extras. If you want me info on the amenities, let me know.

We were there form 7/16-19. We had a deluxe room with the entertainment card @ 155.00 per night. When we checked in they already had us assigned to the 7th floor and it was a complimentary upgrade! We were very surprised and we loved it!!!! After being at the HRH in club, it will be hard to compare anything to it. We loved it! They did charge us the 6.00 a day for self parking. NO problems at all with this resort. It is the closest to the studios and City walk. GREAT RESORT!!!!!

Thanks for your replys! I looks like it just has to be our lucky day (hey, you never know!). I'll try for the upgrade (knowing that as of yesterday rooms were available) even offer to pay $35-$50/night. It would be nice if it was a complimentary upgrade, but hey, I'm willing to pay....I'm just not going to pay $160 more per night for this service....That would really STRESS my budget.

I'll post when we get back...Keep your fingers crossed!

I was there with DD and DS in June. We had a pool view room reserved at a promo rate (higher than Entertainment rate). I faxed a letter requesting a club upgrade if possible with my Loew's First Membership. When we arrived, we did not have an upgrade, so I requested again and was told no club rooms were available. We checked in and went off to IOA. When we returned in the late afternoon, I again requested club (a different staff person) and was told we could upgrade at $50 more per night. We decided to go for it since we were only staying 2 nights. Longer than that would have stretched our budget.
So you can always try, and hopefully you will luck out.
