HRH Cabana questions!

Just wanted to know...how much in advance can you reserve a cabana? Can you reserve a particular #? and...Judging from the map...How are they numbered?

As soon as you have a reservation and with it a reservation #, you can reserve your cabana. The closer to your date, the chances of getting a certain if any cabana decreases.

You can reserve any available cabana by number. They number them starting by the Beach club bar and ending by the slide (10 in all). On the resort map, the one by the entrance to the pool is actually a towel hut. I forget the site that shows the map. We had #10 and it was great!

I have heard that #10 is the one to have! Does #10 face the kiddie pool? Is it near the sand? Sorry so many questions, but I've never been to HRH!

Cabana #10 is on the sand side of the pool facing the slide. One thing everyone should know. Cabana #10 has been themed as "The Original Musiquarium". It's actually pretty neat. The themed cabana gives you a refill on drinks in the fridge, 2 adirondack chairs and 2 floats. We were lucky enough to have reserved this cabana in march for our August trip so we weren't charged the $100 price tag that goes along with the theming. To me the $25 wouldn't have been worth it. I agree though, #10 is definitely the best location. We rented cabana #1 on Dive in Movie night and didn't like the location as much. It was much more removed from the pool area and it was difficult to see the movie thru the palm trees.

Here is a map of HRH's pool.

The yellow boxes are cabana's. Starting at the top, slightly to the right of the center of the map, is cabana 1 and 2, moving around clockwise.

However, the 3rd box is not a cabana it is where you pick up towels.

Cabana's 7 and 8 are directly behind the baby pool.

In 2002 I remember having more cabanas then 10.We played trivia games with staff in 2 or 3 that were close together.If the map was correct then I was in #5 and the long Island Rocker Dee Snyder was in #6.This was during the 4th 0f july week so maybe they added some more.One party had 2 or 3 cabanas together over on the right of the towel hut.Cabanas 7and 8 are not for me with it being behind the kideepool way to close.When I make my reservations for the 4th of july I will ask for #10 or #9.
