Hello All...I was to the HRH last year and rented a cabana. I'm going back this year and was wondering if anyone has a layout and identifying numbers/names of the cabanas so I could reserve it before we go. The better ones were taken when we arrived. Any help would be appreciated Thanks.

I just 407-503-2236 (HRH Fitness Center) and spoke with a very nice young lady named Leann. She said that there are two types of cabana's. Standard and Beach. The beach cabana is a higher fee as it is obviously in the prime location. Leann also mentioned to me about cabana packages that they will be offering as well. I have the rates for next July as that's when we are going. She also said that being we are going in July that we should call at least a month or even 2 months prior to our arrival because it is during a busy time. The number above is the number that you would call to reserve your cabana as well. I hope this helps you out. Have a great trip.:flower3:

Thanks for the info CoachBagFanatic, I will definitely call and try to reserve now...hopefully we are not too late. We're going for the holidays.

The one we rented last year was a standard (we decided last minute) it was on the tier above the pool seperated by a row of vegitation. I think I'll call now and try to reserve a beach cabana.

You are welcome. I hope you were able to get the cabana that you wanted. The standard one is not the one we are looking for either. This will be our first stay at the HRH. We have always stayed at the PBH and since this is a trip for our son's 8th grade graduation, he decided on the HRH. We have been there many times for dinner but never stayed. We are looking forward to it.:hippie:

Thanks Again CoachBagFanatic, we've been there the past two Decembers. This does not make us experts but if you have any questions I'd be happy to try to answer them for you.

Also we're going down this December :cool1: if you would like me to check anything out I can and will send a note when we return.

Thanks Again

JAL2525, thank you so much. That's very nice of you. I do know they have a Starbucks there which I am thrilled about. Do you happen to know if it's a full service Starbucks or just say like a counter type set up? We already have the kids suite reserved. We thought that would be our best bet with two 14 year olds. Have you ever dined at The Kitchen for breakfast? If so what did you think? Outside of that, I think we are pretty much set. Thanks again.:hippie:

all the onsite hotels have a breakfast by menu and by buffet.

i have had breakfast at the Kitchen many times.

i have loved it!

i ate so much, i wasn't hungry until almost 3:00 that day!

the buffet at the islands dining room also is a big hit.

if you have the aph, you can receive 10% off the bill at the onsite restaurants.

Oh Thanks macraven. I think we will definitely do breakfast at The Kitchen. We have had dinner there many times and loved it as well.

you won't be disappointed.
the food is very good and made fresh.

there are different stations where you can have made to order eggs, omelets.

hello CoachBagFanatic, I must confess I'm not a big fan of Starbucks so I did not have any. I assume you are talking about the service at Emack & Bolio's in the lower level adjacent to "The Kitchen".

We did on our first trip have breakfast at The Kitchen and Everything was outstanding. We had the buffet in order to try a little of everything. As I recall I ate a lttle too much. On all of our trips we have eaten a lunch dinner or two also and again the service and food was consistantly good with plenty of options for all in the group.

Last year and this year when we go we are staying on the club level...so we will have breakfast at the lounge. It's mostly bagels pastries etc...It makes for a quick eat and off to the parks.

Enjoy your trip...

the website has been updated and has this listed for the pool/cabanas:

The centerpiece of the Hard Rock Hotel is the 12,000 square foot pool - it's a "can't miss" activity during your stay with us. Hang out at the beach and soak up the sun for the day. Your favorite tunes fill the air, plus the pool features an underwater sound system so you'll never miss a beat.

Every member of the family is sure to have a rockin' good time going down the 260-foot pool slide.

You'll find a variety of organized poolside activities including ping pong tournaments, pool basketball, hula hoop contests, arts & crafts, rock n' roll trivia, weekly "dive-in movies" several nights during the week, and more. Check with the front desk upon your arrival to find out what’s happening during your stay.

Seasonally, the pool rocks out with Concert Nights & DJ Days. Select days and nights throughout the week, you’ll find a live band or DJ spinning todays hottest tunes!

You’ll also find two Jacuzzis, a sand volleyball court, interactive fountains and play area for the children – seriously dude, you won’t run out of things to do!

Spend the day at the pool enjoying the sunshine while remaining cool by renting one of our private cabanas, which come equipped with a ceiling fan, a plasma TV, wireless internet, fruit basket, 6 sodas and 2 bottled waters, and of course, a server to bring you drinks all day long! For the full rock 'n' roll experience upgrade to one of our themed cabanas and spend the afternoon in "The Yellow Submarine" or Stevie Wonder’s "Musiquarium". Call (407) 503–2236 to reserve your cabana today! Fees apply.

Stevie Wonder and the Musiquarium cabanas will cost more than the basic ones.

We rented the stevie wonder one in August and its on the beach side, right beside the adult hot tub and the volley ball court. As far as i know its the most sought after one due to the location it cost $199 from 8:30am to 12:00pm but as we stayed club level we got a $50 discount. We thought it was worth it and plenty of room for the three of us.

Hope this helps.

Thanks macraven and Irish Guy...I've got DW working on booking one of the beach cabanas. (she may have it done already) I think we are going to try to reserve the Stevie Wonder. I recall the location from your description. Should be great.

Thanks Again...:thumbsup2

Hey JAL2525 - Yes, the Starbucks was down on the lower level. I saw the sign when we were done dining at The Kitchen. Very glad to hear about the breakfast. DH and I just may let the boys sleep one morning and go down just the two of us. The boys aren't big breakfast eaters anyway.

Thanks again macraven and Irish Guy for the heads up. I searched under google as the search engine is not working on the DIS at the moment and found this thread started by Irish Guy for the cabana's. JAL2525 if you go down to goofy's posts you will see the pictures of the Stevie Wonder cabana. I love the location. I am definitely going to request this cabana. Leann also stated that they would decorate the cabana's for an additional $25.00 for what ever occasion we are celebrating. I am going to do this a surprise for the boys for their 8th grade graduation. Oh why does our trip have to be so far away.

Great link CoachBagFanatic...I recall the area and I didn't know about the opportunity to have it decorated.

It looks as though you have a few trips planned. That's the way to do it, always have a countdown to vacation going. We take a couple of family vacations a year and when returning from one I'm usually trying to book another.LOL

After I saw those pictures, I showed it to the guys and they all agreed except my son. :confused3 He want's to go to La Nouba instead and we all want to do the cabana's for 2 days. Go figure. But mom will win at aleast one day relaxing in the cabana.:rotfl:

I am always planning something. If I'm not planning I feel lost. Our favorite time to vacation was in December but now it's during the summer. We used to take a couple of family vacations throughout the year as well but won't now due to our son's tremendous workload that he has for school. He is on the high honor roll and in all advanced classes. Even if we took him out for 2 days, his workload would be tremendous. So we only vacation now during the summer. That is until he graduates high school. Man, my life just passed before my eyes in this post.:sad1::sad2::scared1:

La Nouba is great...alot of fun. It amazes me how talented some people are. We've been there twice, everybody in the group (all ages liked it) We had kids from 12 to GP's 65

We started having the same issues with the kids educational commitments. I own my own company and what I started to do was shutdown for the week of July 4th and Xmas-New Years. We go to Cape Cod in the summer and have been going to orlando in the winter.

One sons in college this year and the second goes next year so that may offer more flexibility with thier breaks.
