Stayed at the HRH for the first time (have always stayed at PBH ). My daughter, granddaughter, and myself arrived approx. 11am on Wed. 12/11/02 after spending the prior week at FT. Wilderness Cabins. Upon arrival the staff was very attentive and gracious, not only were we upgraded to club level from garden view, but, we had a great view of pool and park (no check-in delays). My granddaughter also received a cute welcome gift bag. The lovely room was definately large enough for the three of us and it was in excellent condition as well. Photos were Frank Zappa, Mick Jagger , and Dave Clark 5. The weather that day was great so we opted to spend the day at the pool ... rainy weather was on the way. The slide and underwater sound system kept us amused( the parade of friendly, great looking, and informative young male staffers also kept us mildly amused). The club level lounge was well stocked at breakfast, happy hour, and cookie hour; soda, coffee/tea, & water was available all day. The restaurant on the ground level (Sunset Grill) was very good...on the 13th they had a character dinner with Santa, magic tricks, Woody Woodpecker etc. as well as a complimentary birthday cake for my daughter. The rains came that Friday but, we had fun running back and forth from the jacuzzi to the pool. The rain was not something we were accustomed to in December, but, we just accepted it and planned accordingly. I would indeed return to the Hard Rock simply due to its' commitment to customer service alone. Since returning to Cape Cod I have recommended it to at least 10 people and one has already made a reservation for 5 nights in March. The parks were fun packed as usual and FOL was great but not always necessary due to low crowds. Oh yes, my daughter had to have blood work drawn while we were on site. The concierge desk helped us by printing out exact directions for the cabby , the outside luggage crew also spoke to the driver and made sure he understood where the lab was located. This really helped us tremendously, it also made the lab trip quick and painless...as painless as a blood draw can be anyway. Very relaxing vacation, thanks to the DIS and its' members for all the great planning advice!
