I'm curious about this, too. We are going President's Week and we will have a 21 month old by then -- it's hard to tell now...how he'll be then...my other kids did NOT sleep in cribs after about 18 or 19 months, but you never know. He's about 15 mos now and I've been to WDW four times since he was born and rented a crib from a place called A Baby's Best Friend. They have a website www.abbf.com -- I've also rented a highchair, an exersaucer and a bouncy seat when he was small -- we had the room for all this stuff since we're DVC members and stay in a 1BR villa. Disney does have their own cribs (made of metal) - no drop side --- really tough to get them in and out without just dropping them in or standing on a chair and airlifting them down. For me, it was worth it to rent. I'm leaving in about 10 days for the Beach Club Villas - have my crib reserved, highchair and I even rented a stroller from them so I don't have to deal with that whole scene at the airport.
If the HRH doesn't have real cribs -- go check out the website -- they have real cribs just like the ones we use at home....the mattress isn't as thick but everything was clean, cute bedding (MIckey & Minnie) or (Pooh).....maybe they'd change that up for the Hard Rock and give (Skulls & Guitars on the crib sheets !) -- anyway...curious about that myself -- but my soon to be 21 month year old in February may not need a crib by then ..
Yes, they do provide a crib and sheets. I brought a small crib size blanket from home because they did not provide this the first time. Maybe if we asked they would have had one Having the one from home was handy - we used it on the plane, in the car when the air conditioner was way up, etc.
The times we got them, they were not the pack and play, but the metal type on wheels, like a hospital crib - very safe and apparently comfortable. Not really fullsize, about the size of a pack and play.
At the Hard Rock, we also had a cabana, and we had a crib brought out there everyday for us.
