My family and I have stayed many times at the HRH, and have never had any problems untill last January.
We were staying for 3 weeks and everything for ok untill the second week when we'd come back to the room to find housekeeping hadn't been yet.
After this going on for a couple of days I was left a msg to call someone in housekeeping.
When I called, this person said that they were having problems entering the room and that it must have been deadbolted from the inside. I told her we left the room every morning before 8am and usually did not return untill late evening, and assured her no one was in the room.
To cut a long story short, she basically accused me of lying.
I was speechless, how can you argue against that? So everyday after that I'd feel dread coming back to the room to see if it had been cleaned, or if I'd have to call housekeeping again
The lock was checked a few times, and he said he kept telling housekeeping it was their key that was the problem.
The other problem was many things only being cleaned between guests, but that really need to be done at least once a week if staying a long time, by half way through the stay, the room was fairly grotty.
We will be staying this October for 4 weeks, should I e-mail somone in the hope that this time will be better, and if so, who would I send it to?
Or should I wait and see how the stay goes, and if there is a problem who would I ask to speak to about a housekeeping issue?
Sorry for such a long post, any advice would be very welcome
