What is the difference between the two? (other than the Softon Pro-1 is multicoated and double the price). IIRC, Hoya Soft A looks like clear glass with water spots all over it.

In Canada, at least in Toronto area, I can't just go to a store a find these filters and see it for myself.

The effect I want to get is a similar effect to Zeiss Softar (which I already ordered) but without the price (Zeiss Softar is about $300 Cdn).

Also I can't find Hoya Filters website that actually show what the filter looks like. Once I can actually see the filter, I know the effect it'll give me and choose the one I need.

TIA

Adorama has pictures of the results of using the filters....just do a search on their site for hoya filters, check them all out...

Thanks, Mickey8. But when I went to the site, the pictures have different lighting conditions so I can't really compare the results and they don't have the picture of the filter itself.

Regardless, I ordered the Hoya Soft A instead of Softon Pro-1. I found my old and cracked 52mm soft filter I used to use a lot back in the days of 35mm, it was Hoya Soft A.
