My sister is normally a size six and with age is probably an eight too sometimes.. The smallest I've ever been that I remember is a 10. I've started and stopped Atkins several times in the past, but never really had a goal. Now my sis is preggers with 3rd child and she always gains about 40 pounds with previous pregnancys. So this time I have set a goal and really it's pretty sick, but heh if it works Right?? So here is my sick sister envy goal...to weigh less than my sister in February. That's when she is due. I figure she'll weigh about 185-190 (even though she wears a small size, she excercises all the time and a has a lot of muscle weight) I started this week at 228 and have already lost 10 pounds. So by my calculation that gives me about 18 weeks to lose 33 pounds. About 2 pounds per week which is pretty reasonable. I know it seems twisted, but this is the first time I've even really been motivated to loose weight. Believe me I understand that she looses her baby weight quickly, I just want once, for one day to weigh less than her. Sick I know, but I 'm excited too !!!!!

P.S. What is the average weight loss per week/month of people??

You're one twisted sister! LOL. The Scorpio in me appreciates it!
My two sisters and I play the, who's the lightest game. Baby sister has always been tiny (3 inches shorter than us too) but she's having her battles now that she's over 40. If I I keep loosing the way I've been going, and she keeps hitting those chips and cookies I could hold the title for awhile!
No....really we're all very supportive of each other's efforts in the battle of the bulge.

To answer your question, an average of two lbs a week is considered a safe weight loss, so they say. I have been experiencing more than that these first few weeks on Atkins, but expect that over the long haul that's what my average will come out to (I hope!). I would expect that you could meet your very twisted goal!

Be sure and keep us posted!

I understand where you are coming from! Perhaps it's a scorpio thing :crazy2: My sister has never had a weight problem, so consequently she has always been much smaller than I am. So it would be great for once in my life to weigh less than she does.

Good luck achieving your twisted goal :teeth:

My goal has always been to weigh less than my husband. He's 6 feet tall and weighs 145 - 155 lbs. I've gone as high as 151 but he was heavier at the time. ;)

I started WISH at 142 - which was getting close to his weight :faint: but now I'm down to 134!

I say, whatever works for you!! My big question is, does your sister know????

::yes::

I feel your pain. My "big" sister has always been the "little" sister, too!

As for your goal, hey, whatever works!

Sisters are so funny. I used to be the smallest in my family and now I'm in the middle and I don't like it. My sister and I support each other, but secretly compete for the skinny slot! I think your goals seem reasonable, and who cares what your motivation is, as long as you have some. I find my motivation changes, and that's OK too. Your post made me laugh!
Thanks!

Keep the Faith!

Hey anything that gives you incentive toward your goal is great.pirate:

I agree, whatever works for you! :)

Good luck on your goal, we are all here to support you! I know you can do it! :)

SICK, SICK, SICK........

and I LOVE IT!:teeth:

You will look lovely 'struttin your stuff' come spring!

WOW!!!

All of those responses were great!! Seems like I'm not the only one who wants a "little" competitive edge. To answer the question, "Does she know?"...NO!!! That might give her an edge, and besides it's my sick goal, she never needs to know!! UNLESS I actually meet the goal and then I might let it slip, just to see her reaction. Tee Hee  :rotfl: :rotfl:

My sister is winning! It is totally not fair! I haven't seen her in at least 4 months. She just had a baby in March (her 3rd!), and she looks fantastic! I'm so tired of her telling me how fat she is and how she really needs to get back to the gym blah blah blah! Her pants were practically falling off of her! (Not a good look) That was just the push I needed to keep the donuts from getting ahold of me last weekend. I managed to stay away from them until I saw her, and then I became so green with envy, I was truely ill with myself. I am really angry and yet happy for her and also worried about her. (She has had bouts with bulemia in the past. ) And though she is thin, she doesn't look well. Though 3 kids under 5 will do that to you, especially when you have an overbearing SOB for a DH. Anyway, adding a little more motivation to my soup!

Keep the Fith!
Tracy
