How's the wifi in the parks?

I'm from Canada so I'll have to add a U.S. package to my cell phone before going to WDW. Is the wifi in the parks reliable or should I be looking at getting extra data on my U.S. travel pass on my phone? Thanks!!

Do not depend on wifi in the parks. We were constantly kicked off and couldn't reconnect. We found it worthless and after the first few hours switched over to data exclusively.

Wifi in the room was fantastic, though.

I'm sure it depends on the resort and where your room is located.

We were at All Star Sports in Jan. 2015...
worst WiFi I have ever experienced in a resort!

It was simply unusable during evening hours.
When we got up at 6:30AM to head for AM EMH, the WiFi would connect and run OK.

But, when lots of other guests were awake and using the wireless...
it was USELESS!

I would have complained, but the whole FP+/MDE thing was so clunky and un-Disneylike already, it was just another of the "expect less" disappointments.

We stayed at POR in AB. We used the wifi at all different hours and had no issues.

The wifi at OKW was great and although the wifi in the parks is pretty sketchy, I do have to say that it was better on our trip last week than it ever has been!
