Just wondering if anyone is just getting home or is there now. Were leaving in three days and hoping its cooling off a bit? Thanks Tina

It was hot hot hot! We were there Sept. 11-15th...it was humid and around 90 most days. I felt it was hotter than when we go in May.

Hot and humid. Typical for this time of year. The rain comes and goes and you really can't predict it. One storm the other day we got nothing but cloudy skies. A half hour's drive from us they got over 3 inches.
It's humid all night and there's little opportunity for a cooling breeze unless there's a storm coming. The low 90's is typical during the late afternoon, but the sun is still very strong. Wear sunscreen. :-)

Hello Central Floridians.

Which local tv forecast is usually the most accurate? Which one plays the most weather in the AM?

Thanks

I just did the ten day forecast on weather.com and it shows the temps going down into the mid 80s and staying that way through next Friday 9/26. That's cooler than 90s. :goodvibes:

I will tell you that people are crazy and overexaggerate and like to whine.

It is not hot, mid to high 80's, breezy and SOOOOO comfortable. It is just beautiful. There was an evening storm on Monday and from out of my office window it looks like another one is brewing right now, but even during midday, I was out feeding turtles on our lake at my work and it was just soooo nice.

I watch WESH 2 News and they're as accurate as weather forecasters come, which is not very, but they said that there is a cooling effect going on and there was not 1 temp in the 90's on the 7 day forecast when I watched on Monday.

I'm located in Winter Park, about 30mins North of Disney.

Great to know! Sounds perfect. :wizard:

We're 45 minutes north of Disney and I thought it was hot. :-) We are in the midst right now of quite a storm. Blowing rain, temperature dropped about 8 degrees and WINDY.
We are from PA (lifelong residents) and to me the humidity in FL is uncomfortable to say the least. We were at Downtown Disney Monday morning, arrived there around 9 a.m. and by noon I was more than ready to get back in the car and head north --- even if north was only to Leesburg. ;-)
The sun is very powerful. I don't care where you live in Florida. Maybe you get used to it, but after a year and 4 months we still aren't used to it. We don't "do" the parks during July and August and not much in September. For those who enjoy the heat, wonderful.
We also watch WESH but use the wunderground site also for current conditions.

I honestly don't think you get used to it. I think you're a heat person, or cold person. Cold makes my bones ache, even the quick drop in temp for this afternoon storm is making me want to crawl up into a ball and snuggle with a heat pad. And I'm only in my early 20's!

But the sun has shifted, you can tell the way it's hitting the ground that it is shifting for winter and it's not as strong as it is during the summer. I can tell by the way it shines in my room in the mornings on the weekend. Shifting sun brings cooler weather, such as the 80's we've had this week. It's lovely.

We just returned last night and it was way humid! We live in St. Louis so we know all about humidity but it was so much more humid than even we are used to. We'd leave our room at 8am and it felt hot already!

I was thinking the humidity was down. I have not noticed it being bad.

It is so nice this evening. It acted like a storm was going to go through and it was thundering, but it didn't rain (I think it did rain at the parks.) Now it is sooooo cool and breezy. It would be a nice night to be at the parks.

Ha! Florida humidity has nothing on Delware's humidity!!!

I am ready for Disney, bring on the heat and humidity!!!

Thanks every one for all the opinions:grouphug: . We were at Disney one year in May and I thought I was going to die from the heat:rolleyes1 . We have been to Disney at the end of Sept once before and found it hot but not so hot I had headache the whole time:lmao: . I think its looking good at this time. Thanks Tina

Oh I know what you mean about getting headaches in the hot sun. I get wicked migraines when I'm in the sun too long. It is definitely not like that right now. I think you're safe!

oh dear God it's thunder storms every stinkin day.....I didn't want to look, but I did....

Thunderstorms every day are normal. It can last as much as 10 mins or a couple of hours, but it's usually pretty quick. It's due to the seabreezes that blow in from the ocean. Thunderstorms are good because it cools things off. Just pack a poncho and some shoes that you don't mind getting wet and you'll be fine.

I don't think the temps and humidity start coming down until at least mid October,September is still a very hot month. With that said October and November can still be pretty hot.
