How's the noise level in a Kidani 1 BR?

June trip is our first visit at Kidani. At other WDW resorts, we learned our lesson and now always request rooms on the top floor (somehow we always had elephants upstairs!) I have already requested Sunset savannah per my DGS's request. Will the top floor give an adequate view of the savannah, or should we risk the noise for a lower floor?

We just stayed in a one bedroom on the first floor and aside from hearing the occasional toilet flush (high flow)' we wouldn't have even known any one else was staying at the property. The view was fantastic on that floor, too. Animals seem very close.

We never had any issues with noise at all at Kidani either. In fact, the only issues we've had with noise at any of the DVC resorts was at Old Key West where the 'neighbours' were very loud talkers and at Boardwalk Villas, where the kid next door like do bang loudly (suspect spoon on bowl) first thing in the morning EVERY MORNING!!!

AKV Kidani is fairly quiet. The risk with a 1BR is not usually those above or below but those in the adjoining studio since if they are very lound you might hear things through the two closed doors between the rooms. Kidani has no dedicated 1BRs but only those that are part of a 2BR lock-off. Also you can sometimes hear feeding and other small trucks that service the savanna going by but you usually need to have the balcony doors open for that.

As to view of animals, many prefer the lower floors (2 or 3) rather than higher (4 or 5) because they give you a more direct sight line to the animals. However, others like the higher view because you see more of the savanna. Either way is not a loss.

Frankly, if you are going to make a request I would suggest something like close to the lobby, or close to community hall. Those put you on the Sunset savanna, which has giraffes, and close to all amenities such as store, bus stop, restaurant, and pool. The risk at Kidani for savanna view is getting a room that is far from the lobby near the end of north wing (or even end of south wing). There is no longer walk down an internal hallway in any hotel in the universe than the one from lobby to room at Kidani if your room is at the end of the north wing.
