Hello everyone,

In 2 weeks I will be taking a road trip to Disney World from Chicago. To try to estimate a gas budget, I was just wondering how the gas prices are down in Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida? These are the states I will be passing. Up here the average is $1.94 for regular. Is it similar down south? Thank you for all your help!

I've driven several times from Ohio to Florida. The best gas prices are usually in Georgia, in particular north near the Tennessee border.

WOW, thank you so much, everyone for all your help. All the information provided was exactly what I needed, I greatly appreciate it.

I live in Fl. (Clearwater/ Tampa area) The gas prices here ahve been between $1.79 and $1.87. Around Disney they may be a bit more. I will say that there is a HESS gas station on Disney Property that seems to have gas cheaper then a station off site. You'll see the gas statins by the Lake Buiena Vista exit, they are pricey! Get on property. I was suprised that a gas station on Disney property was less expensive!

Running about $1.59 here in Atlanta. Fill up before you hit Florida.

Gas prices in Georgia have dropped in the past weeks. Prices are around $1.58/gallon. I second the poster above.....fill up before you cross the GA / FL line. You'll be glad you did!!!

Better yet...fill up in north Georgia...The prices down here in Valdosta , Ga are still up around $1.71 - $1.75

Related to Destination Disney's post, you really need to look at different gas station prices when driving around Orlando/Kissimmee and remember where the cheaper stations are at. Stations near exits to Universal Studios and WDW are usually high but if you drive a block or two in another direction, you can find gas 10-20 cents/gallon cheaper.

we just paid like $1.76 @ the 7-11 on the osceola parkway monday when we were leaving disney. thats cheeper than what we are paying farther south here in fla. we are still at $1.95 at some places

I live about two miles North of Universal Studios Orlando. There are a couple of stations near me where yesterday gas was $1.79.

Note that currently the Hess stations on WDW are actually about $0.10 LESS the the nearby stations in Lake Buena Vista.

We'll be returning our rental van at DTD Doubletree Hotel, how close is this Hess Gas station to the DTD area? TIA

The strip of I-65 between Elizabethtown and Bowling Green, Kentucky were cheaper than here in Nashville a couple of weeks ago. Pretty consistently running $.08-$.10 cents per gallon cheaper than here in Middle Tennessee.
