How's the crowds around June 16th?

We were planning on going to DL around June 5th, but my Dh's company won't let him take vacation time that close to father's day (he is in retail management) So are next closest option is going June 16th (a Monday)

Anyone been around this time? is it tolerable as far as crowds go? (heat doesn't bother us we live in Vegas and have lived in FL lol)

We will be at DL then too. From what I have read, it shouldn't be *too bad. Crowded, I'm sure, but not jam packed. I would guess that most schools will be out by then, but maybe some families wait until a little later in the summer for their family vacations. We are leaving the day after school gets out! (The kids don't know though)

Anyways, I'm expecting it to be crowded, and if it's less crowded than expected, then bonus! The last time we went was towards the end of August during their 50th celebration. It was crowded but manageable. I'm expecting that this time too.

We have gone around the middle of June 2 years in a row, and neither time was too bad. It was crowded, but certainly tollerable. If I recall the average wait time was something around 20 minutes, with the more popular rides (Splash, IJA, SM, etc.) more like 45 minutes. As for weather, 2006 was really hot and humid, while 2007 was much more pleasant (mid to upper 70's, low humidity), so I guess anything is possible.

That sounds like a good crowd estimate. Arrive early and take advantage of the extended hours and you shouldn't have many problems with crowds.

We have gone that time frame three years since 2004. It is pretty crowded, I would put wait times a bit over 20 minutes on average. Last summer we were there for nine nights and generall Space Mountain was at 70 minutes by lunch time, Splash was usually around 60 minutes, Indy between 45-60. I still thought it was very manageable. And of course last year, this was when Nemo had first opened. The most important thing is to get to the parks at opening (as in being line at the gates 15-30 minutes before park opening). Use fastpass and head over to DCA midday for awhile or to your hotel. DCA is seldom that crowded. The park stays open unitl midnight and generally opens at 8:00 a.m. So you have a nice long day to get things done.

I agree about the weather in 2006 and 2007 (was there both years). Last year was much nicer! If you want to have a nice meal for Father's Day, make a reservation in advance. Blue Bayou in particular is a popular place to take dads! You can make priority seatings up to 60 days in advance.

Frankly, I don't mind the crowds, because the trade off is longer hours, fireworks and electrial parade each night and few if any things are down for rehab. I love that time of year at Disneyland!

We are going from June 11th-17th and I noticed FULL entertainment scheduled and MK open until Midnight except on Grad nights..

That tells me it will be crowded.

The crowds will be picking up around then, since most of the schools are getting out. But it still won't probably be like it is in July! I agree with getting there early!
