I'm looking ahead to mid-feb when I am on a break. How are the crowds and the weather? As a teacher, I can either go mid Feb or Mid April which is better?

Thanks!

I've been twice in February and going back Feb. 2006. We go for Mardi Gras. The crowds are very manageable. Never been for Presidents Week. I have heard its very crowded then. As far as the weather - its pot luck. I always pack shorts and jeans. On our last trip the first four days were chilly and the last two were extreamly hot. Good for the kids because they got to swim. I've never been in April, but if you were thinking of going for Easter I know the crowd level is high. Hope this helps. ::MinnieMo

President's Day weekend will be very crowded then crowds will thin out as the week goes on. February weather is unpredictable, it could be 35 degrees when you wake up and only get up to 45 or 50, or it might be 60 when you wake up and get up to 80. And both of those things might happen within the same week!

Easter week will also be very crowded but the weather will be much better.

DH is a teacher as well so we went in April and the weather was PERFECT. I would opt ot go then over Feb. We are planning a trip in April of 2006 but I am leery because I know our vacation week falls during Easter weekend. I am wondering are the crowds insane that whole week or just that weekend. I am also seeing prices for everything are higher. Now we are thinking about late summer but then THE HEAT..................

I was just there Feb 10-14 and found it pretty crowded (as well as freezing !). But I know the weather can be hit or miss during this month. Not sure why the large crowds except it was very evident that there were cheerleading competitions as well as high school band competitions going on that week. Both my flight to and from on SW airlines was packed with teens and the parks seemed to be as well. A CM at POP Century (where we stayed), told us the resort was booked to capacity. I recall trips in early Feb being much less crowded.
I've only been to WDW in April during Easter week and it was mobbed the Fri/Sat/Sun prior to Easter. The weather was very hot the year we were there ('99). Not sure how the rest of April holds up as far as crowds go.
