I just spoke to LynniethePooh and she is doing ok. she lost power at 9 am and other than having no AC she said she is doing ok.
A few tree limbs down but they are holding up so far.
Ray had to be away due to job responsibilities so she and Sean are taking on Frances alone.
She was rambling something about seeing a big manequin wearing a red wig and speedo riding an American flag pole go by her window earlier but she may have been hallucinating with all the stress.
Keep saying the prayers for her and everyone in Fl. Hope Frances leaves my margarita booth alone. Lynne promised me one and I want to make sure she keeps that promise. Peggie

The Weather Channel is reporting numerous odd sightings in the Central Florida area.

Eyewitnesses have claimed similar sightings with one or several of these details:

  • A man-god, wearing only a golden speedo and an American flag draped like a toga.:3dglasses
  • A woman flying on a flagpole, somewhat reminiscent of Miss Gulch from the Wizard of Oz, but with long red tresses and a Wonderwoman costume.:duck:
  • An androgenous mannequin with shiney gold hot pants, lime green tassles (you know where!), and smoking a Cuban cigar.:smooth:
  • A hairy hispanic man, on a flying carpet made from an American flag, singing "Waltzing Matilda." :genie: Some people also reported that a poodle was attached to the flying capet by one of those baby-bouncer thingeys.

Personally, I suspect that area residents may have been beaten by the stress into some sort of a hallucinatory stupor. :p

Peggie, thank you for the information about Lynnie. I hope she & Sean have done well today.

I just talked to Barb (Luv2Roam). They are doing fine for the most part except they lost cable, so therefore no Internet access. Fortunately they still have power, water, their cel phones, etc. She said the wind is still blowing hard & fast, so maybe she will see the Cuban speedo fly by ... oh wait most of their windows are boarded with plywood!
