How's everyone doing on their Lenten promises?

I know this doesn't sound like much BUT I gave up my acrylic fingernails. My regular fingernails are a disaster no matter what I do - so this is a bigger deal than it sounds.

I gave up smoking one year forever ago and never went back. Seems like instead of a sacrifice - I was given a gift!!!

I am grateful EVERY day.

Disneycrazymom- Yes, I have been reflecting upon the questions. My friend bought me Daily Inspiration for the Purpose Driven Life, and I have been reading through that book as well.

My 5 yo ds said that he was going to give up NOT flushing the potty for Lent. AND I'm happy to say that he is remembering to flush everytime. I know that isn't as serious as some of the others but he was very serious when he told us this and I'm proud of him.

I am doing reaonable well with it - I gave up chocolate (I had a Chocolate chip cookie the other day though). I mean "real chocolate" like candy bars or my favorite M&M's. It is difficult somedays, as there is a woman I work with who keeps a HUGE bowl of candy (mostly chocolates) Hershey miniatures, mini Reeses PB Cups etc. Everytime I go to the printer to pick up something I have to pass by her office and the chocolates are right there calling my name.
