Has anyone eaten at Emeril's in I think it's Universal's CityWalk?

Craving some New Orleans style food!

Yes, it's at Universal's City Walk. We ate there last summer. The food was great, a bit expensive. But I'm not sure I'd call it New Orleans style food, at least not what we had. If you really want New Orleans style, try Pat O'Brien's at City Walk. We ate there last month and loved it. I've never been to New Orleans, but my DH has and he said it looks just like the Pat O'Brien's there.

Some of Emeril's creations are inspired by New orleans cuisine, like the blackened redfish and the gumbos. But it's been "kicked up a notch," to coin a phrase. ;)

It IS pricey, but they have been offering a special two-course prix fixe option that's very affordable.

We ate there the night of our arrival in Orlando (September 1). Every year we go to Orlando, we eat at Emeril's (we used to eat at the one in Las Vegas at the MGM but feel that one has gone downhill). We love the one in Orlando. It is a little pricey--our bill was $127 without cocktails (we aren't big drinkers), but my husband and I each had an appetizer and he had dessert. We have never had a bad meal at Emeril's in Orlando.

Just to let you know, pat O's in Orlando only looks like the one in New Orleans. It doesn't taste like it nor does the atmosphere come close. I live in South Louisiana and Pat O's there is no where close to the food down here. I've not been to Emeril's but am going in a few weeks, so I can let you know. From the looks of the menu, many items are at least inspired by N.O. I doubt it will be as spicy though due to "dulling" down for the masses.

I hate to say it.....and I really really HATE to say it.....but the best N.O. style food I've found in Orlando is at House of Blues......god do I hate to say it.
Emerils has a bit of everything, and its not bad....if you want good Emerils...Tchoup Chop is a lot better.
