I will be heading to Orlando from October 7th-14th and we were hoping to do Howl-O-Scream this year. I originally planned to go on Sunday but I looked at last years website and it doesn't look like it was running on Sundays but it appears they were open on Thursdays. Does anyone know what the schedule was last year for sure so I can get an idea. We also want to get a hotel (within a couple of miles) that is clean, safe and reasonable. We will have a car but will probably take a cab to the park so we can enjoy the refreshments. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Will also be going around the same time. What is this like? Is it another hard ticket one like hhn and mnsshp? Is it in the evenings?

My fiance & I went last year & it was awsome :thumbsup2. It's kinda early to really answer the time question. Uhm, some Sundays are open or think all of them are. You guys gotta wait till Bush gets their web-site up for it. The event starts at 7:00pm till 2:00am on Fri-Sat, but I suggest you get there at 6:20 or 6:30pm. The hunted house are cool! one thing though, don't compare it to HHN Universal.(I think HHN is way better) anyways, as far as the hotel, Bush usually has a package deal & sorry I fortgot the name of it. It includeds the hotel & tickets. And yes most def. take a cooler w/ either beer or any other drinks you guys like cuz at the park itself, can be pricy. We took a cooler with a lot of beers & took a cab there & a cab back. Good luck & keep your :listen: open...........Oh, usually in the beginning weeks of the event, it's less :crowded: crowded!!!!

We did the VIP Tours of both HHN and HOS last year. It may have been just the added attention we received on our exclusive tour but I'd give HOS the edge this time. We have gone to HHN dating back to '93.

HOS does run on Sundays, but only during the second half of the month. BUT, that being said, going on a Thursday (your best bet) or even a Friday should be ok. Just avoid Saturdays.

As for the whole HHN vs. HOS debate, both events can be great in their own right, but I feel as if HHN barely even tried this year. It was a very lackluster event, I was very disappointed.
