Howl o scream vs HHN

I would really like to do both but if I hear Howl o scream is not too good I will skip it. Anyone like doing both? Anything I should know how it is set up different?

I've never made it to HOS but want to sometime. It's my understanding both events are set up in a similar fashion.

HOS is great and has houses that are on par with HHN,one difference is that HOS will have a couple of houses that are the same as the previous year,only those that visit it yearly will notice.Two years ago I did both events and thought the HOS houses were better.Now HHN is and will always be the best Halloween event out there the amount of money and theming Universal puts up can't compare but HOS is right up there,I've even seen a top 10 list for Halloween events and HOS in Tampa is fifth with HHN in Orlando 1st,Knotts Scary farm 2nd,the Kennywood event 3rd,HHN in Hollywood 4th and HOS in Virginia 6th.One thing to keep in mind is how big Busch Gardens Tampa is,you will definitely walk more than over at HHN,HOS will have scare zones in the pathways and shows just like at at HHN.The crowds will be less than you'll see at HHN and the size of the park just makes the crowds appear smaller but it will still be very crowded,but you'll have less waits for the houses that are over an hour like at HHN.Visit both and enjoy.

Honestly, I've been seriously loving Howl-O-Scream.. I've gone three years now and I can't visit Orlando in October without a visit. I've even been enjoying it more than HHN lately!

I think it's definitely worth a visit. I'm pleasantly surprised each year.. and I've been getting some bigger scares there as well.
