Hi all!
My mom just told me that she and my dad are taking us to Disney World in June! Wooo hoo! :cool1:

I'm excited to have found this board and search for all of my answers!

We are staying at the Contemporary (stayed there back in 1983)
My job is to make the dinner reservations and find a safari for the kids.

Thanks in advance for everyone's postings!

ETA - I joined here in June of 2006 and this is my first post - amazing!

:welcome:

If you haven't already, check out the Disney Restaurants thread for food reviews and tons of pictures. It may seem strange, but I love looking through the food pics. When in doubt, just ask. Everyone is more than willing to help and share their experiences.

Happy planning :goodvibes

Warmest Greetings and Welcome Home! You are going to have a GREAT time!! We also are going in June and can't wait. We are staying at the AKL. If you can get a reservation, you must try and get the Le Cellier at the Canada pavillion in Epcots World Showcase. You won't regret it!

Welcome aboard and congrats on finally posting. I'd also suggest that you go over to the restaurants forums and look around. It'll help you when planning your dining reservations.

welcome

You can make Advance Dining Reservations (ADRs) 180 days before your check-in date, so your June ADR window is already open. You will be at WDW during the busy summer season, so you need to make your ADRS as soon as possible, especially if you are wanting to do any of the character meals. They will book up very quickly. I like the WDW planning website www.allears.net for their menu and restaurant reviews.

As for the safari, the Animal Kingdom Park's Kilamanjaro Sarfaris are open every single park day from open to close.

Thanks for the welcome from everyone and suggestions!
working on some ADR and trying to figure out the Extra Magic Hours
(Like - is it better to do EMH or eat at CP at MK the morning of EMH - or eat CP on a non-EMH)

Loving this board!

We avoid morning EMH like the plague. You get that one extra hour in the morning, which is nice, but the morning EMH park is going to be the busiest park of the day for the rest of the day.

We use the www.touringplans.com crowd calendar to pick our best park days.
