hi all, i have a question about that motel, how close to disney is it, and is it clean, what are your thoughts of this motel.
thanks,misty:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hi. We've stayed there a couple of times. Last year was for 10 days. We thoroughly enjoyed it. It was very quiet and clean. We used the pool and hot tub on a daily basis. We even had a VERY sick child (all over the room) in the middle of the night and the young man who came to our room to clean up was fantastic. Never blinked an eye. You just can't beat the price there. And I don't know if you have kids, but kids eat free at the IHOP right across the parking lot. That's where we had all our breakfasts before hitting the parks. I don't think it took us 10 minutes to get to the parks. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, unless staying on site for the first time sucks us in;)

Look on www.biddingfortravel.com, the Priceline help-board, under Florida (Orlando) hotels, Hotel List, 2 star reviews, where you'll find my review, along with a couple others, all relatively possitive.

We love the hotel and use it whenever we can't find a bargain elsewhere. It is what it is (an old hotel), but it's clean and the location is very, very good. Look at my review for all tips, but the biggest: pay the extra ten bucks and get a "poolside" room, and ask for ground floor, at the back pool. It's less crowded and quieter.

What is the cancellation policy on this hotel, and how long would it take to get to Blizzard Beach from there. "If" we arrive early, we want to hit "the beach" that night before staying on-site. But may have to cancel if we see we won't make it the night before.

Samsma,

I'm not sure the cancelation policy, but I believe it was 24 hours. I'd double check with the hotel, but because we were driving down from Pennsylvania two years ago, we did check, and I think 24 hours was the figure.

As for distance to Blizzard Beach, maybe ten minutes. Of course, a lot depends on the time of year and the traffic, but it's about three miles to the DTD exit, five miles to MK. What we've always liked about the place is location. Make a right out of the hotel parking lot, follow the signs.....easy.

I'm looking at doing this one...do they offer free shuttle service. Does the IHOP thing still in effect? Love that idea.
