Has anyone stayed at the Howard Johnson near Disneyland? I'm thinking about staying there, and I was wondering if anyone has anything particularly good or bad to say about it.

I really enjoyed the HoJo everytime I have stayed there. The walk is pretty easy and nothing to it really. Ive personally done it many times. The rooms are large and clean. I have always found the service there to be great. And the price usually can't be beat.

I love Hojo's the place has a great feel to it and ive only stayed there once....

trying to convince my husband to go again but its a bit of an expense and trek from Australia.

I live in Stanislaus County too. No, you don't have to purchase the Orange County one. I purchased the San Jose Bay Area one and used the entertainment card from that booklet for our last visit.
