I am trying to decide is 2 months is too young? I think it will be so easy with her in her stroller, etc.

Thoughts?!??!

My kids were almost 6 & 2 Y 8 M.

2 months would be easier than 12 months. If you fly she's free *unless you want to buy her a seat* she's free in the parks. I think an ideal 1st visit would be when a baby isn't a newborn but isn't mobile either... sleeping through the night ~ 4-6 months would be ideal IMO - probably would enjoy character interaction too, I'd consider a meal at Minnie's ~ she'd be free there as well :thumbsup2

6 and 9 years. lol Altho I have to say 100% that if my DGD was closer I would absolutely take her. :) She's almost 2 now but I would have taken her as early as possible. :)

We started taking our boys to WDW when they turned 4. We started taking our grandson to WDW when he was 5.

We took our DD at 2 (just last week) and she loved every moment. Best trip I have ever done.
The only problem is she keeps asking to go back and doesn't understand when we say we will fo back at a later time.

first month we took him to the state fair an trick or treating, i think he was 1year when we went to disnye land, an 3 when we werent to disney world.

When I was a front desk CM at WDW we would always wonder why people would bring babies to the parks - or pregnant women for that matter. The heat, the crowds, the diaper-changing ;)

Even as a CM I only took DD to the parks a couple of times before she was 2 - and that was to go to dinner or take photos during the holidays. Other than that we waited until she was old enough to go on kid rides.

I think age 4 is the optimum age to begin trips to DL..they can enjoy the experience and have memories of it and do their share of moving there own feet without those pesky strollers. ;)

3yo.

If you take a child who is too young they won't experience anything better than playing with car keys.

At 2 or 3 they will enjoy some rides, shows, fireworks, parades, maybe, and it's a big maybe characters.

At 4 or 5 it's almost positive to be the best day ever.

IMHO bringing children to Disneyland is a MUST! Their expressions are just so pure and honest, and lets be honest, there is nothing cuter then seeing you little one with the characters etc. I totally understand why parents want to bring their child to the parks as soon as possible, so they get to grow up experiencing what you do. The only downside to this though realistically is that if they are under the age of 2, chances are they wont remember a whole lot, and or appreciate everything.

I just think that it would be nice for children to be at least 3 where they can start remembering bits and pieces of things they did there, and why. Then you really see the pure joy and happiness on the child face. Also potty training starts or has already happened and that can save on wasting diapers, but also that child can sleep better throughout the night, rather then waking up for a 2am feeding when your ran off your feet exhausted from the park day before.

If you can make it happen, do so. My baby was a wee one when he went- and my oldest first went at 7 months. Just have a nice wrap to carry the baby (like a moby) for some cuddles. And make sure you are up for the trip physically- you will still be just shy of the postpartum stage.

Well....I have been ever year since I was born and she will too :) I think it is easier taking her in Feb vs summertime or holiday time. Just not sure if I should wait until April. She wont remember but I will :)

I hate the thought of being a stroller pusher now!! ha ha

My girls' first trip was to WDW, they were 2 1/2 years, and 15 months.

We're expecting another baby at the end of August/beginning of September and will most likely be taking a DL trip in October.

We took DD when she was 2 1/2, but my niece was 4 months on that trip. At that age (before they want to be up and walking around) they are the most 'portable' they will ever be, IMHO. We loved traveling with ours when they were small like that. The baby care centers are terrific! Pack a sling or a carrier of some sort and go!

We took DD for the first time a couple weeks after she turned 2. We had such a blast and she loved every minute of it. We went again last month at 3 1/2 and she again had a blast. Trying to figure out now when we can go again :)

I was 3 the first time when I went and DD was 3 turning 4 when she went for the first time. I plan to take her every year. Although this visit is about a year and a half.. but I hope to try and do it with her every year too

DS was 20 months and DD 10 yrs the first time they went. As a single mom, I'm glad I had other family with me so DD could still enjoy her visit without being slowed down too much. DS started complaining about never having been (at least that we could remember) at about 4 when DD got to go again.

We went to WDW when our second one was 2 1/2 months. I wore her in a snugglie and it was sooooo easy! I was able to ride a lot with her in it (mild things like IASW) and she faced me, so I could throw a cover over her and she could nurse while we walked around. I know she won't remember it, but the rest of our family does and it was a wonderful family vacation.

DD's first time was when she was 3, she's gone every year since then. DS's first time was just before he was 1. He skipped a trip and stayed home with DH while DD and I did a girls only trip. He went again just before he turned 3. He was so excited, we let him walk most of the time and attacked the parks at his speed (super slow-mo). He lit up at every garbage can and mickey bus he saw as we walked up the esplande from Harbor Blvd to the gates.
