how would you wrap ...

a surround sound system? I need a neat idea so my dh won't guess what it is! The box is HUGE so, I know he will guess!!!

Find an even huger box, like a refrigerator box.

That ought to confuse him.

Then just wrap it in newspaper.




Or wrap a picture of it up in a tiny little box and hide the real box somewhere else, and give it to him after he opens the little box.

I DO!!

I got DH one last year...it had like 10 pieces. I opened the box, and found boxes to rebox the pieces seperatly. All the wires/books etc... were individually wrapped in plastic in the box, I put those in a gift bag. The speakers I just wrapped...the 3 small ones I put in a gift bag. He said he didn't have a clue what I got him since under the tree he had 15 individual gifts, that was actually just 1 gift.

Put it with your beauty stuff and tell your dh it's a big super duper box of femine napkins. He won't touch it.

I have two suggestions.

1. cut out a picture of the gift and place it into a small jewelry box. then wrap that tiny box and place under the tree.


2. wrap the huge box with plastic tablecloths. You can buy them in the dollar store. they come in a variety of solid colors. you might need a couple of rolls.

Do you go to other family or friends on Christmas Day? If so, maybe you can wrap it up and leave it under their tree. I did that one year with a big gift I had for my then DH. He was so expecting to get the gift at home, and when he did not he looked disappointed. When we got to my grandma's and he got the gift there he was so surprised!

Great Ideas!!!! I knew the DIS would have lots of good suggestions! We do go to Grandma's on Christmas, so may leave gift there (that is where it is now!) but, I LOVE the idea of wrapping up several small boxes. Thanks everyone!

Do a treasure hunt!

Wrap a small box with a map/clue & have him search. Eventually the clues/map would take him to the basement/garage, or some other neat hiding place.
