I am so excited! Yesterday, my sister and I decided to take her dd to DL for her graduation trip! We are going June 9 - 16th!!!!!!!

We have both been to DW several times, but this is our first trip ever to DL. We were trying to come up with something special to do for her on the trip. I would love to surprise her!

I am thinking of doing the dessert/Fantasmic thing (you can tell I haven't done much research yet:confused: ) on June 15th. That is the first day that Fantasmic is open after the rehab and I am worried that it will be crazy crowded!!!! We leave the 16th so that would be our only chance. Is that something that feels pretty "special" while you watch?

Thanks for any help that you can give!

I can't answer your question about Fantasmic, but I bet it would be a blast! Are you staying at one of the DLR hotels? If so, you can call 714-300-7526, which is the number for Guest Services.

They have a list of all kinds of goodie baskets and just plain goodies that you can order to have placed in your room. They also have a personal shopping service that will shop for you in the parks ahead of time and also place the items in your room for a fee. The DLH's room service dept. also has a baloon bouquet available so I am sure PP and GCH must have something similar.

Hope that helps.

There's some special "Grad" merchandise, also - like the '07 antenna topper and I think there's a beanie also. Usually the antenna toppers are Mickey ears with a mortarboard and tassle, but this year it's an '07 logo with the cap. There's probably graduation pins available, too.

The Fantasmic! dessert buffet is pretty cool! We did that last October. The balcony is definitely a great place to see the show from. Though might be even more difficult than usual to get since it's the first night. :-( Even if you can't get the balcony seating, the Riverside location sounds really good, too, and there's also a dessert buffet with that.

Have a great trip!

Thanks guys

We'll be staying at the Holiday inn so we won't be able to take advantage of the Disney Hotel stuff.

How late in the summer do you think that graduate stuff will be in the stores?

Is the Fantasmic Dessert thing available 30 days out for PS reservations?

I am so in love with my reservation for Blue Bayou, the restaurant next to Pirates.

I've always wanted to do it.

And everyone I've spoken to has recommended it.

Hmmm.

There was another thread on here yesterday about Grad nites and their dates.

The would probably be more stuff on and around those days.

I already have a Blue Bayou reservation! I am really excited for that.

My sister just looked on the Disney website and it looks like there isn't going to be a Fantasmic on the 15th. We will be missing that. I could have sworn that I read someplace the 15th was the date is was opening back up?:confused3

I thought about scheduling a princess meal. I swear that going to DL is way more confusing than going to DW!!!

There will still be plenty of grad items during the time of your visit. We have seen grad items still on the shelves in late June...most So Cal area high schools will be finishing their school year around mid-June.
