all the other kids are building friendships with that 30 minute period every day and DS isn't really doing that. He'll make some friends in class, but it won't be as many friends or as close friends as if he'd been eating lunch with them daily.

But won't he be making friends with the girls at his table? As I tell my DS, getting to know girls now will come in handy down the road a bit.
